From the Project Beast leaked trailer to today, it's hard to believe that Bloodborne is here. It seems like this game was made just for me -- an aggressive Souls game that seems like it was extracted from a Lovecraft / Poe fever dream... I couldn't be more excited.

For newbies, I think Lone Survivor is a great starter class. Focuses on Vit (health pool) and End (stamina, dodging, attacks). For those looking for optimal build routes of STR/SKL, possibly military veteran since its pretty balanced but has the lowest arcane stat

I'll ask this again now that we are in the real thread. So I remember at Gamescom they talked about procedurally generated dungeons you could run in this game. Can anyone explain that concept further to me?

Woah, I wasn't expecting it to be in the options menu. I'm so used to the whole settings in the gameplay bullshit that Dark2 had that this almost feels like a breath of fresh air.

I played for about 12 hours yesterday but I'm not 100% sure what that means as far as starting class goes, since level is a different attriubte listed right there, and all but Waste of Skin starts at 10.

I think it's just like "starting gold", basically, so you start with some echoes so you can buy some vials or bullets or a level or whatever. AKA not hugely important.

Souls threads here are traditionally a great resource for exchanging information and (spoiler-tagged) secrets and stuff, and just discussing the game in minute detail.

Every community has its warts but in my experience the Souls community is exceptionally welcoming and willing to help newcomers, so hopefully your introduction to the series will be a little smoother than otherwise.
