Yeah but why so many 9s? Garbage reviewers not giving Bloodborne a 10 obviously in the tank for Microsoft.

lol @ people who thought this game would sell worse than The Order. These review scores practically make that an impossibility.

Lets not get caried away yet people, the game still needs a lot more reviews before it can settle at a comfortable score (Metacritic)

Looking good. Seems my bank account is going to take another hit tonight. Wanted to ease off a bit after buying a new mower for the summer, but with these scores and Sterling talking about Demon's Souls in relation to this, I just can't help it.

Just read the Jim Sterling review and almost shit myself with hype. One hour and Twenty three minutes from glory.

Doesn't Sony usually do price drops and redesigns at Gamecom and not E3? I'm pretty sure that is where we got all of the PS3 price drops and redesigns.

No.

No.

Why. Why you do this. Goddamnit are you telling me I have to wait another 2 months after E3 now? Why, man why?

Incredible reviews!

Is this the highest rated next gen game released so far?

Not counting The Last of Us Remastered.

My review of Bloodborne is currently in progress for GameSided.

From what I can gather, Bloodborne is a rather invigorating look at a familiar style of combat-heavy RPG. Miyazaki really outdid himself in molding a world fit for foul beasts and creatures, while tailoring development towards a Victorian gothic appeal. Gameplay and character progression may be familiar, but it is in the changes towards frantic, on-the-fly action that revitalizes the genre. One has to wonder if the game is being rushed to market, however, with many disappointing technical faults that hamper its excellence.

I haven't had the chance to read others' reviews yet. Did anyone else mention that we had to register a connection to Sony servers? I feel it's a big disservice to the fans that scores aren't held back until public servers are live. I had no invasions and just one co-op partner.

Metacritic really has it's claws on the average consumer, doesn't it?

That is not the case. From everything I have seen, the game has some truly gorgeous visuals. Which other reviews even point out.

He used a picture of his character without armor on as evidence. And yes, the characters without armor look incredibly bad...but who plays like that? The armor/clothing in this game looks phenomenal.

I'm so confused...ign saying 40+ hours possibly 80...nzgamer says they beat it in 22 hours. lol huh?
This is totally normal for a Souls game. The length of the game really depends on how you play. It's possible to finish Dark Souls in less than an hour without glitches, yet many completely new players will take around 50 hours on their first playthrough because they keep going off the beaten path.

Every Fibre of my body is trying to not watch any Streams or Let's Play until I get a PS4...In a year or two...Jesus..HELP ME.

And just to think, these are the scores without any multiplayer elements being active.

multiplayer is a key piece of the world of a Souls game. Without multiplayer in Demons, who knows what I would of thought of it. Still would have been FANTASTIC but the online integration put it on a different level entirely.

Aside from Nintendo's output, this looks like the first true must have of the generation. That is, if you can stomach the blood and tolerate the difficulty :p

I don't think it's necessarily technically unimpressive either tbh. Amazing amounts of complex geometry, great lighting, a good amount of scope and scale, decent textures, good character models, great particle effects and other effects etc. It's just the overall IQ and some of the questionable post processing additions that let it down slightly. I do agree the art direction is highly competent though. I have a feeling the frame rate might be a bit ropey though, as is typical of these games.

It definitely is and when you're indoors it runs so smooth that it's a bit jarring when you walk outside.

Wow. Great scores so far. I'm a bit surprised given how niche From Software titles are. Hope it lives up to the hype.
