I read your review.
But I still don't understand why you would give it a score if you couldn't finish the game due to your inability/lack of skill.
Even some of the biggest review outlets have no score since they haven't reach the end or haven't done some of the online/extra content.

wow, glad the game is doing so well! I'm 15 hours in (had the game since saturday) and the metacritic score reflects my experience with the game perfectly.

Im open to more feedback, but Im not really seeing anything in depth from anyone. He explains nicely why it's easier than previous games. It doesnt destroy my interest, it just makes me a little nervous. I want the game to be as hard or harder

Regarding difficulty: Has anyone tried out Chalice Dungeons? From what I've read, the level of difficulty in their later stages is balls to the wall insanity.

There are a ton of reviews with the opposite opinion going into detail linked in the OP. If you only want GAF impressions, here's one to start:

I'm finding this game isn't painfully hard but I am forced to pay attention and when in combat with non-scrub enemies I have to fight for my life.

And that third boss battle, I don't know what kind of an outlier my fight was, but it got my heart racing and gave me "the fear" in a way Dark Souls 2 never really did.

- The load times suck, but a patch is coming to fix that.

- The Regain system isn't all that it was cracked up to be. Dark Souls players won't even notice it's there most of the time.

- Boss are super easy, especially compared to Dark Souls.

Did you know that Demon's Souls also exist? IMO, Demon's is the hardest. How you compare Bloodborne to Demon's?

If you want the game to be brutally hard, you are in for a treat. It's that other part of the game he hasn't tried yet.

I'm aware of Demon's Souls but I didn't play it much at all so I'm not a good person to ask for that comparison. This game is easier than both Dark Souls games though if that helps at all.

I've had the game since last Wednesday and I'm guessing I'm about halfway in. If I wasn't trying to explore every inch of the game I think I'd be closer to 80% done. I'd be surprised if anyone finished it in the time we've had.

Some of the reviews state what the reviewer thinks of the difficulty in comparison to the other games. Others in this thread have also stated that it is harder than DkS2.

Either way I don't get the reason to be nervous. Even if it is easier, it is a good game that is different to the games that came before and harder than most games available.

I totally forgot I had pre-ordered this game based solely on GAF hype LOL. I haven't played any Souls game so I'm really hoping this game will click well with me. I'm a bit intimidated to be honest lol.

Love this statement so much.

Miyazaki games are escapism at its finest,I think.

Through a combination of appropriate difficulty,art direction and sound design,the games are just a terrific form of escapism.

A consuming experience.

that's what you do against individual mooks in souls games if your smart. But crowd control is needed, and many bosses are extremely trickly unless you know timing, dodging and movement patterns. Its the same with all souls games.

Oh man those scores don't make skipping it at launch easy.

Going to power through the remainder of Dark Souls so I can buy this one ASAP.
