Xbox Ultimate Game Sale (Begins July 7th)

You can grab it off ebay or a gaffer who bought rhe bundle for 20-25

E: i wish x1 had a similar setup like steam, buy the disc,
Install it, put the cd key in, you now have a physical and digital copy. The disc is useless after you use the key
.

That would Be awesome of retailers could sell License codes...

Anyone play the Jaws of Hakkon DLC for Dragon Age, and if so how was it? Worth $10?
Bought it when it came out and I'm still making my way through it. I've probably put about 6 or so hours into it so far and still need to finish the main quest line.

New equipment, tough enemies, new dragon, nice quests...pretty good story as you find out more about the previous Inquisitor.

I think it's well worth $10

I see people mentioning other country's sales like Russia. Is it possible to buy from other territories and play it on a US Xbox One?

Yeah, MS should look into that. They'd probably mess it up though by trying to actually make the discs capable of being traded in as a used game, which would then make them have to do a 24hr check or something to prevent abuse...

You know you and I seem to be the biggest advocates of the original One. By the end of this gen, when everyone is over discs, most will wish they stuck to their guns.

I'm tempted to sell my physical copy of Inquisition for $40 if I can, then buy it and its DLC from this sale. I'm just not sure if I want to spend a day/put duress on my hard drive to download the game for 24 hours plus.

I hope so. I did it with Ori this morning, but I'm not near my One to see if it downloaded OK or not. I followed this guide here but bought Xbox live points from the Russian store instead of the US store (as I'm already in the US.)

KI S2 Ultra is on sale!?!?

so worth the wait :')

lol, yeah I always get a chuckle whenever someone posts something like "if only there was a way for *something to increase digital convenience* to happen!", and it's something that was already addressed by the original plans. I've noticed it a lot now that we're away from the pre-launch hype and we're actually using the systems on a day to day basis.

As I always say, there were of course drawbacks to the original plan, and it was perfectly valid if someone wasn't interested in having those drawbacks, but sometimes people made it sound like there were zero possible advantages to the originally proposed ideas, or that the only possible reason to be interested in those plans was if you were a shill or a fanboy. (granted, MS PR was sometimes part of the confusion. Though of course, we're supposed to be a community of hardcore intelligent gamers who can look past surface-level PR quips...right?)

back on topic though, I'm guessing the sale has started outside the US already or something? I thought it was 7/7, but I keep seeing posts about it...

While there are a few tempting games (Watch Dogs for $15, Saints Row IV Re-Elected & Gat out of Hell for $20, & Far Cry 4 for $24) included in this sale I think (for the moment at least) that the only game I'm gonna jump on is Killer Instinct Season 2 Ultra Edition cause it's imo too good to pass up at $24.

I was hoping Ori would be a little cheaper. Might get it anyway. I was also hoping to see Never Alone but if I spend $15 on Ori, I probably wouldn't be able to get it anyway if it was on sale. What to do.

Been waiting on ori....and now I'm going to have to wait longer. 5 bucks off is barely a sale. I'll catch it on the next one.

Get it from the Russian store if you really want it, as it is dirt cheap from there. Read a few posts up to see how.

That probably works fine, but I can't be hassled to fudge around with all that. Thanks for the tip but I can't see this game not hitting 10 bucks in a different sale and I have enough to play.

That's an amazing deal for Killer Instinct Complete!
Bought that, AC China and Ori.
I'm quite happy with that haul.

Let's see if we get some dirt cheap 360 games to stash away for back compat...

If you have the disc then you already have the full game installed on your hard drive. If you buy it digitally you will be able to play straight away without the disc. Not including DLC that is, if you intend to buy that as well.

I would just trade your disc in and get EA Access, as it is coming to that this summer.

Only bit on Assassin's Creed China so far. So many tempting titles but a lot of them will be cheaper physical with gamefly in a month or 2.

Korra and Mordor get. I'm super tempted to also grab Far Cry, but I have plenty of games now to keep me busy until the holiday rush (especially when Rare Replay gets thrown into the mix).

Fantastic deals all around - having only owned a Wii U so far this gen, I'm not used to this degree of royalty in regards to discounts.

What do you mean? I just bought it - haven't played it yet - but during my research into the game it looked like you unlocked the elements one at a time, but I was under the impression that once you had all of the elements you could switch between them at will. Is that not the case?

My money's already spent, but I certainly hope I can segue from a water attack into a fire one.

Probably already asked, but I'm way too lazy to try to search for it tonight; I apologize in advance:

Just in case there's a good deal on KI, KI is cross-buy with Windows 10, right?

Huh? Those 360 games should be much cheaper than that by now.
We used to get discounts between 75-85% off.
I guess now that back compat is a thing, they are going to gouge us with the 360 sales. How lame.

I tried the KI tutorials earlier today after seeing the complete collection on sale and man, it just seems so complicated. It reminded me why Smash Bros. is the only fighting game I've played regularly in the past decade.

I'm sure if I got used to the controls and memorized the moves I'd love it, because I watched a bunch of the character trailers and they all looked awesome. But when it comes to fighting games I'm all about that instant gratification.

I want to play Prototype 2, but I think I'll hold off until it's a free game someday. $13.50, or whatever it is, is too much, especially after it was free on PS+.

I was in a similar boat but once I got through most of the dojo lessons everything started clicking, try focusing on that for now until combos and linkers feel natural

just try not to rush things, you'll only frustrate yourself
