Goddamnit, I'd love to have something like that but no PC to play those games with anyways :(.

Plus honestly I already own all of them (The mac versions for 1+2 and tactics and honestly the GoG version which I far prefer over Steam).

That nuke game holder though is pretty cool (sadly it's really why I want this as I don't have a need for the games, as I said I already own them and for 1, 2, and Tactics, the superior form, GoG's).

Own all these but will buy. Love FO.

I don't, but I want Fallout 3 and New Vegas for some potential mods so this is almost perfect. :p I also get a nice collectable and the Elder's Scroll anthology was a very nice package so I'm in.

If it's anything like ES anthology, it's going to be heavily discounted sooner than later as well...

I'm a sucker.

I'm basically spending the $40 for the Nuke Case. Love me some Fallout.

I already own all the games via GOG and Steam, so I'll probably just give them away on here or something

I'd consider it if I were richer and I had more space to display it. I already don't know where I'm going to display my pip boy and case for it.

There's only so much I can justify paying for Fallout when I work on a retail slave's budget. I'm still considering it but seeing as I can't use anything and just like the holder I'll probably hold off and be happy I got the pip boy edition for 4 at least.

Edit: If Amazon gets it I'll probably put in a pre order just to reserve one in case I change my mind (which is sadly a good trick by Amazon that has gotten sales I wasn't planning on otherwise. It's how they sold me the PS4 launch day when originally I was going to make myself wait until Fallout came out).

I've still got my big boxes for Fallout 1 and 2 :) This is a great collection of games. Easily worth the price. Fallout 2 is in my top three games of all time.

Don't worry, I'll vouch for them.

I own the Elder Scrolls one and will probably end up getting this too. I'm a sucker for RPG anthologies.

Is it the shitty version of F3 that's on Steam? If it is, I'll probably just skip that one and play all the others.

What is wrong with Fallout 3 on Steam?

If you are referring to GFWL, that specific implementation is easy to remove and not required for play.
I would obviously prefer if Bethesda would just remove GFWL and add Steam achievements.

Eurogamer quoting the press release says UK price is £39.99 but I've read that it's GAME exclusive for £49.99? Surely that can't be right.

Definitely. I'm replaying Fallout 3 right now and it's a major bummer that they never went back to patch that stuff in. It probably wouldn't require much effort, so they probably just don't give a shit. :/

Back on topic, that's a surprisingly decent price. I already own all the games on Steam but I'm really tempted to grab it anyway just to have that nuke as a collectible item.

That and it being incompatible with my system (Windows 8.1).

It'd also be nice if Steam achievements were added in the game.

This might be the first one of these gimmicky limited editions I ever bought. I mean it's Fallout classics and the rice is actually fair.

People should stop referencing data that makes me feel uncomfortable because games get ported to platforms I don't like
Meh.....I already got Fallout 1,2 and Tatics for free (Thanks GOG!) and it would be cheaper to simply rebuy Fallout 3 and New Vwgas separately.

No thanks Bethesda but call me back if you ever do a Fallout: New Vegas Remaster on PS4.

What have you done to troubleshoot the issue?

GFWL doesn't play well with Windows 8, well it doesn't play well with anything, but it doesn't function at all on that particular OS.

You can go through the general GFWL fixes (uninstall/reinstall and copy files to 64 bit directories), or you can disable it entirely.

How unfeasible would it be for professionals to modify the UI?

It would take a ton of unnecessary work for maybe 3 people in the world that would replay the OG Fallouts on console.

they could be played on a potato if you wanted it that bad.

The nuke honestly is gimmicky and not that cool. I would really like some nicely packaged releases of Fallout 1 and 2, or together. Hopefully for 2017 20th anniversary or something.

Man, I'd love this. Mainly cause I couldn't finish it on PS3 cause after 200+ hours and playing Old World Blues (I think that's what pushed it over and I read OWB could cause it to run even worse) it just got too laggy and crashed way too often to be playable (I'd have to restart it like 5 times anytime I wanted to play to maybe get 30 minutes of game that I could play).

And now I've run into some snag/bug on the 360 that apparently I have to start a new game and then load the game I want to play to load my last saved game. And cause nothing seems to have fixed that (and I've tried all the suggestions about it but the best I can do is the work around works but nothing gets it to allow me to load my latest few saves without doing this), I'm worried at some point even this won't work. ANd I just can't start over again (I'll have to wait a few years again to play. I have 55 hours in the 360 version and I just don't want to do all that over again so I'll have to wait a few years til I'm over it). And it crashes the 360 (not just the game crashes) a helluva lot more than it did on PS3 (Well at least at the same amount of hours played as I did on the PS3).

If they made a PS4 version and it at least ran as well as the original PC version (I'm hoping that runs better than both PS3/xbox 360), I think I'd just buy it again and try it there. It was my favorite game of all time and it feels like I'm doomed never to be able to finish it, ugh!

$40 on Bestbuy with GCU, and I think I'll try and sell the games for $25. That's $15 for the case. Seems worth it to me.

That's actually pretty clever, but I already own all but Tactics on PC. Is Tactics any good?

It's... sort of good. I played it on release, so i'm sure it's dated by now. It's pretty much just pure combat scenarios with a combat system similar to FO2. Think of it like an srpg, where you're advancing on various defended towns/fortresses, etc.

Leveling up, new lewt, and all that good stuff is there, but it's short on story/ humor/etc.

i remember really enjoying it, but it's been a long time and I don't think it's for everyone.

i'd love to see a console version of this. for the older titles a upscaled version of the game would run fine on a big TV and as a slower paced Turn based game playing it on a controller would be easy enough. Am i the only one?
