I'm hoping for some major changes to the profession system as it was ruined with WoD.

Garrisons in their current form should be scrapped.

I'd like to see the expansion set in Azeroth somewhere and not in an alternate time or space.

A new class and race would be lovely as well.

Already have the sub figures thread and the official WoW thread. Too many threads. My brain can't take it.

Expansion needs to be an 11/10. The usual level cap increase with a new zone and perhaps a new race isn't enough. It needs to do more than ever thought possible. We NEED a new profession, new races, a new class, and perhaps even a new playable faction. It has to be a groundbreaking expansion for the franchise, doing things that have never been done before that we'd never expect.

My expecations are ludicrously high, but after WoD, I think we deserve it. We also deserve an apology from Morhaime and/or Metzen.

Oh boy this should be a good showing. No matter what blizzard announces it's gonna be hailed as the "savior of WoW it will fix everything" it will release and subs will spike by 3 million as they usually do, then 3 months later everyone will hate it

I'm morbidly fascinated to see what this does to that "wow subs" chart after the WoD debacle. They better knock it out of the park.

I have no idea but I have always always wanted to play wow but never got into it because of the subscription part. I have had like 3 copies of the game I got for 5 bucks or less and loved it (the basic first game). I have never gotten past level 20 even lol but I am still super interested in the game for some reason...

I'm not really sure what I would want from the expac exactly but I'm willing to get back if it is interesting. Already skipped MoP and WoD.

Demon Hunter is probably one of the only things that could get me to pay for more than a month.

And yeah, killing Illidan was a huge mistake. I've said that since the raid came out. I was so hoping he'd flee the battle at 10% health or something.

Considering what they usually deliver in the time frame well either have to wait a lot longer or they got more man power xD

An apology isn't going to happen, that's just not how giant corporations function these days. Actions speak louder than words, though. They can show they know they fucked up by releasing a much better product. They SHOULD charge $40 at most for it to make up for WoD being more money for less content, but I don't see that happening.

On a serious note, I am not sure what they could really do to drag me back into WoW. I put so many hours, days, even years into the game and its just the thought of ending up in the same old grind that really puts me off.

You're honestly one of the handful of people who I've seen say this.

The general consensus on the community is that WoD was horrible and a big part of that was because of the Garrisons. Losing almost 50% of their subs better be a dire wake up call for Blizzard or WoW doesn't have much of a future.
