The NX Prediction / BSpeculation / Fanxiety Thread

I stick with my prediction, this Friday they'll announce the NX Direct for Tuesday next week.
I don't expect nothing for tomorrow, so i'd say you guys to calm down too and save your energy for Friday, but i already know tomorrow you'll all be here counting the hours waiting for something from heaven
 
Imagine if along with the announcement they did a full on mini-E3 style live stream with the treehouse? That would be amazing and I'd hope they'd give us a couple days heads up so I could clear my schedule to watch everything live.

I am so ready to join this train, was not a member of gaf when it was made during the Project Cafe-days but now I want in on it!

Sombra is the second most important reveal that is never happening only behind the NX.

Giga-plot twist: Blizzard can't unveil Sombra yet because they're waiting for the NX event, since they'll unveil Sombra in the trailer for the NX version of Overwatch.

I believe there are some legit materials, but hard pressed stuff gets dangled. Happens in every reveal. I've seen it all. Same happened with GTAV with people telling us about 3 playable characters. Turned out tree, but their names where not Tommy, Carl, and CJ
 
I don't know why anyone is saying she flip flopped. Emily saying she isn't "100% sure" doesn't mean she was backtracking anything. That's nonsense.

I think something like this could happen, but I imagine it would happen early next year to hype up the launch.

I never expected anything on Wednesday and I know I said Emily is most probably wrong before. but damn that last tweet, tomorrow will be a looooooooooong day.

Nah. I'm pretty much tearing up my cue cards and just saying "fuck it" at this point. Perhaps I should just look for some Simpsons memes to post.

Given how many people treat her like she's the Whore of Babylon or some shit when plenty of other non-journalist insider types have similar or worse track records, I don't blame her.

Anyway, still taking it with a grain of salt, as we all probably should.

She set her account (temporarily?) public for these next couple weeks in anticipation of NX news.
 
Mods, here a question:

seeing as how many threads have been locked specifically because of twitter and seeing how this thread would be locked if its sole reason to exist would be Emily's claims over twitter, is it safe to conclude that the more twitter stuff gets posted the nearer it gets to getting locked?

or asked with other words:

Until it gets revealed, how do you want NX threads to roll? twitter kept to a minimum or not at all?

what are some guidlines we can take notice of?
 
Seriously hoping they reveal the Smash plans with the console. I have a feeling when the Smash Ballot was referring to how it could be used for ideas in "future games," I have a feeling that could mean Smash NX (as well as games way in the future but especially NX).

If they have even a modest amount of new content lined up, it'll sell NXs like crazy.
 
How is the hype for the NX unveil compared to the hype for the Project Cafe unveil? I know that was only like 4 years ago but I didn't follow Project Cafe rumors very much
