Big Baller Brand Introduces its first signature shoe: The ZO2 Prime, starts at $495

The ZO2 is the embodiment of countless hours of dedication and hard work on and off the court. Lonzo Ball and Big Baller Brand are on a journey to change the game forever.

if your idea of changing the game is $500 sneakers gtfo

First sig prices...
Jordan 1 in 1985: 64.99
AI's Question in 1996: 99.99
LeBron AZG in 2003: 110
Curry 1 in 2015: 120
ZO2 Prime in 2017: 495

One of these is not like the others.

Hilariously awful brand name. It reminds of Snoop Dogg's clothing line. It was something like "Big Snoop Dogg's Clothing Company."

See, if you dropped the BBB logo, I'd cop.

And price it at $175.

And have Kobe's name on it...

EDIT:

Wait, no, these are the ones I was looking for.

Damn, these are straight fire.

I'm not rooting for this kid to fail, but all this pressure and expectations is going to have people screaming "bust" if he doesn't immediately put up 20+ PPG.

$495 though? Good luck.

Even adjusted for inflation it doesn't look good:

Jordan 1: 149
AI's Question: 157
LeBron AZG: 146
Curry 1: 123

More than 3 times the price. Lavar is beyond delusional.

Damn, these are straight fire.

It's hilarious how this shoe is basically the Kobe you posted and an imitation of the adidas BOOST midsole (in black) in the heel.

Every part of this shoe is ripped off except for the terrible logos.

Forgive my ignorance here. Would people buy these as a casual shoe? I mean obviously not at $500, but if they were more affordable is that what people would be buying them for, or are these specifically for use when playing sport?

Even if they were $200 it seems ridiculous to me unless you play basketball regularly.

Many people buy basketball shoes as casual shoes.

The hilarious thing here is that pro athletes and rappers (see: Kanye West and his YEEZY shoes) sell their shoes at prices in the $180-300 range.

This guy isn't even a big name yet.

I loved my Payless Shaqs as a kid.

This shit is crazy though. $500 shoes #fortheculture. Gtfo.

Lonzo Ball has about as much charisma as a limp dick.

LeBron also has no charisma and is CORNY, his SNL hosting gig proved how awkward and unfunny he is

marketing is more important than actual charisma

Casual yeah. Nobody hoops in Jordans.

LeBron has no charisma? Eh, I'm gonna disagree with that. Charisma aside, the man is the best basketball player on the planet and has been for a long ass time. That markets itself.

Lonzo Ball is no LeBron James by any metric. Besides, this "Big Baller Brand" marketing sounds like something dreamed up on a middle school playground.

The worst part is you know they will sell enough somehow to make money.

I actually doubt it. I'd be surprised if they ever even ship. The website says they are preorders with a November delivery, which probably means they need a certain number to even get them made.

Everything looks so broken and low budget, the whole site, the shirts, the background image, the mailing list image.

The shoes look okay, but way too expensive.

Who designed the shoe? I imagine the companies that put out $30 shoes at Walmart have more engineering and testing budget than BBB.
