bad movies endless trash GIF

Nah but in all honesty, its gotta suck animating this episode and then the game gets shitcanned. At least the episode will come out.

LMFAO they were definitely going to add all of those characters to the game after this premiered.

Somehow this also looks even worse than the game which I did not think was possible.

Imagine instead of waste 250$ millions on this shit, give 1$ million to 250 indie studios to make their game. I bet we would had at least 10 new masterpieces and 30 awesome games now.

This episode was in the works prior to the game's release, let alone it's failure. Didn't think they'd just drop it altogether.

Problem is the episode still looks generic. It feels like it's trying to be something else and not it's own thing.

Hopefully this petition will regain some steam thanks to the publicity. Please sign it a few times if you haven't already (or even if you have). We can bring it back!

I love how Sony and Firewalk put so much effort and budget into Secret Level and those vignettes, while the game itself had no SP campaign, no offline bot mode, and barebones MP modes. But at least it had really good animations and lip synching..... which is more skin deep graphics and not gameplay.

It's like a store opening up an expensive showroom that took forever to build, but got no good products to sell.

Dont laugh. None of us really should.

Milked a 4 year tenure probably making $150k/yr making a shit product which got auto refunded from e-stores, while pissing people off at the office. And now on severance pay, and then if that ends can go on UI.

It's practically one step below hitting the lottery.

Didn't their indie guy resign a while back, and their indie scene go downhill after that?

I'm sure. She worked for a studio that got bought by Sony, who then proceeded to throw money at them and build them a new office and be called "The Future of PlayStation" by the CEO of PlayStation. All while working on some passion project that literally nobody wanted.

These people made a killing.

See, here's the thing. The first teaser, the reveal trailer, and now this, has nothing in them that screams "FPS hero shooter". It's like this whole thing was made by amateurs. What a wasted opportunity.

Secret Level are probably secretly pleased that a lot of folk will watch this now, just out of morbid curiosity, like those viral clips that fly around the internet showing someones final moments climbing a cliff before they fall off, skydiving before the shoot fails.

I wonder if they've at least edited it posthumously, the only semi-official line we've ever heard as to why it failed was toxic positivity, nobody from within the studio was vocal enough to get it's flaws addressed pre open-beta, slow movement speed, art design not visually signalling how each character played, lack of focus testing etc. I doubt they will just air an episode where they are raving on about how great it is for 30 minutes (in hindsight).

They spoke a lot about diversity etc too, I'm confident they've probably stripped that out of the episode so it can't be used as a dogwhistle for the game failing.

So I wonder what they will fill that 30 minutes with, probably just technical stuff, creating the vignettes etc.

They were going after an epic Star Wars vibe. So not surprisingly, high on production values, cut scenes, mocap and additionally story vignettes and an Amazon bit. Gameplay was always going to be low on the priority list.

No SP campaign, no SP bot mode, meh MP modes. The beta didn't even have MP matches where gamers join in progress to level out teams. So the original game didn't even have that. So if players quit, the remaining team would be shorthanded all match. They shoehorned it into the final game telling gamers teams will have gamers joining mid match. That MP feature has been in MP shooters since the 90s.

I guess they have to push this episode anyway out of pity for the work and money wasted. Big emphasys on the money, because this franchise feels like was trying to equate itself with Star War in terms of projects.

Such a lovely failure, that Phil Spencer is personally eyeing acquisition

Mod edit: Duplicate + misleading title. Thread merged with the original one posted yesterday.

Concord series? Huh?

(You also can't judge this based off the game in any way, this short could be really good. Really enjoy Love+Death+Robots)
