Actually thought this looked great; Donkey Kong in the Banjo format with destruction is a super smart idea.

With what Nintendo can do with Mario and Bowsers Fury, this game has true leveloution.
The creativity on display for this game would be insane.

Totally left of field but it looks fucking AWESOME!

I'm glad to see Nintendo are taking more risks with their archive of IP's.

Very much looking forward to it!

trailer made this game look really fun. it will suck if the destruction is limited to just rocks.. but they trailer got me hyped for it./

I'm honest, I really hate the new Donkey Kong design.
Not a game I'm personally interested in (not for the character design lol) but great to see Nintendo experiment with something new.

Not the aesthetics I envisioned but I am intrigued. Really glad to see a non-Mario 3D platformer again from Nintendo. Hope to see some classic characters in there.

Saved the Direct for me. Graphics look pretty average but they probably prioritized physics and framerate since the gimmick seems to be DK rampaging through destructible environments, which is a really good fit for his character. I'm kinda glad they also didn't play it safe with another 3D Mario and instead made another big budget 3D platformer using one of their historical IPs. Looking forward to it.

From the brief Mario Kart snippet in the announcement trailer I thought I wouldn't mind DK's new design. How wrong I was!

Game looks fun though, and I kinda like how expressive and animated DK is. Still, not a fan of the design at all.

This game looks so fun! And I think it's wild that people are saying the graphics suck, it looks great! Has awesome art style and seemed to run at a solid 60.

Never much into DK games, but this one looks very interesting, totally dig the visuals. Not sure about DK design though.

I really dislike this "BOTW-esque" visual style.

The combination of cartoon style + low contrast + drab colors + thick environmental fog is really bad.

Bring back clean, contrast-y visuals ffs. Even DK64 looks more pleasing than this.

Love Donkey's new design personally. Love the basic concept of a highly destructible world for Donkey Kong.

Just wish we got to see more Kongs and a bit more about the gameplay. What's the objective? Reach stage end? So it's a platformer? Or is this more like DK64?

Its most likely from the Mario Odyssey team, so expect a Mario Odyssey like game, instead of the hat we got smash.

I hope to see a few other Kong's in this. I wonder though, would their statures and frames lend themselves to all this smash and bash gameplay? Dixie's big hair lends it's self pretty well to bashing and I guess Diddy could use his pop guns much like he did in Returns and Tropical Freeze.

I guess it's not such a big deal. I just hope to see a few more classic characters. They certainly got that Rare era DK jungle in there in the side scroller portion.

Looks awesome
Love the physics and destruction, it's a shame Nintendo is one of the few big publishers pushing this sort of stuff with games like this and TOTK
