Women in Games calls on Steam to remove game which promotes sexual assault

The game is an adult visual novel with "a huge focus on incest and male domination", where players have to respond to their mother's affair by "claiming her for yourself".

Its Steam description tells players they have to "own her", and then "become every woman's worst nightmare" and "leave no p*ssy non-f*cked, since that's the only thing they all want – never take 'no' for an answer".

The game's Steam page, which also includes a screenshot of a woman with a hand clenched around her throat, says it "graphically contains sex and violence, mature language, nudity, graphic depictions of oral, vaginal, and other sexual activities" and "includes incest, blackmail, unavoidable non-consensual sex, as well as the use of drugs, alcohol and cigarettes."

Women in Games CEO Dr Marie-Claire Isaaman has called on Valve to "act urgently" and remove the game from Steam, saying the game's content "is not only vile and dangerous, but also actively promotes the dehumanisation of women and girls."

"The fact that a game like this is available on Steam — one of the world's largest gaming platforms — is utterly unacceptable," she added. "It sends a clear and distressing message: that violence against women is not only tolerable, but playable. That message has no place in our industry, our communities, or our society."

Yeah I'd say it's a pretty shitty game that crosses lines.

On the other side this probably will increase sells when otherwise no one would have known about this " game "

It's gross and weird, but I never agree with censorship in any capacity.

I won't buy the game, so I'm unconcerned with its content. If you're concerned with the content, don't purchase it, don't play it, problem solved.

Censorship is never the answer.

Oh boy, their first time opening the H-games section on Steam?

Anyone actively pushing for games to be removed from platforms or altered over fictional content rather than hidden crypto miners, malware, etc, has a skeleton or three in their closet.

I would never buy these porn games but I wouldn't want any censorship especially since these incest freaks keeps to themselves just like the Thai ladyboys so they aren't demanding anyone to normalize their sick ways like some others. And if they do wanna remove them than there's definitely worse things than even this such as furries porn and abominations porn stuff with folks that think offing their own sexual organ is normal. So if they wanna remove this than remove all the other worse ones too.

Everyone loves a bit of incest in Crusader Kings. I love seeing my little albino dwarfs run wild over Europe whilst killing or marrying family members to keep the bloodline pure

Game looks trash, but I thought the same thing about 50 Shades of Gray being grape but it's ok because of a flimsy contract...and then women made that a bestseller for some reason.

Yeah, that's fucked up. Makes you wonder what other gooner games on Steam have some messed up descriptions and content. Lord knows there's plenty of them.

After reading the description on that game.

bro:
"In this game, you'll either become every woman's worst nightmare… or rather: the best dick they'll ever have. Your goal is simple: leave no pussy non-fucked, since that's the only thing they all want. Never take 'no' for an answer.
Fuck your mom, fuck your auntie, and even fuck your friend's mom. Why not?"

There's a lot of fucked up stuff on Steam. I imagine Valve is going to nuke this out of existence.

Not a fan of trying to "de-platform" entertainment; especially given that it's appropriately labeled as "Adult Only" and plenty of games objectify and glorify illegal and/or fucked up acts. It's quite easy to avoid seeing this kind of stuff.

But at the same time I won't lose any sleep over this one.

I don't support blanket censorship, but it makes sense to moderate content in certain cases. The game listed in the OP is the perfect example. When gamers concern themselves with censorship, they're mostly concerned about creative freedom, but with that freedom comes responsibility. What is the context and intent of that filthy abhorrent game? Who is the target audience? Shit like that should be banned on all platforms.

does steam control the listings in any way? Surely they must have some kind of process to get the weird stuff out
Valve seems to think hiding the game away in a corner of steam and not surfacing it for most people is good enough.

Marie, you have nothing to worry about, trust me.

Also, wasn't there a similar japanese game years ago? Weird shit like this exists, but it's not like a sudden tsunami of gamer sexual assaults will be inspired by it lmao

No, it shouldn't. You having a distaste for it doesn't mean everyone will. I say this as a father who finds it disturbing; if there's a market for a product, then it should be allowed to flourish unabated so long as it's not hurting anyone. We all play games where we brutalize and murder countless others, and I'm fairly certain that you and I haven't killed anyone before.

I'd rather the weird perv who gets off on this shit have an outlet that doesn't hurt anyone rather than feel pent up.

Same way I see it too, I don't agree with it and would be avoiding this game but it's no different from incest fantasy porn which I already avoid anyway during the times I used to watch porn. And besides these are fictional npcs so as long as they keep it in their own corner and don't try to shove it in people's faces and demand people to see them as normal like some other abominable movements out there. Than I'll say they could stay but also won't care if it gets removed either.
