"UE4 represents nothing less than the foundation for the next decade of gaming."
this is an actual quote
The Vita doesn't have the horsepower of a PS3 or 360
PS3/360 have Crysis![]()
And the press too. It's like Ebert doing a feature on the new Panavision lens system.
You have no idea how mad they are.I see. I doubt Nintendo fans will give a damn though...
In previous engines, one floating ember was enough to slow performance considerably; a shower of them was impossible. With Unreal Engine 4, there can be millions of such particles
It saves on the marketing budget when you have forum posters and Geoff Keighley blowing your trumpet for you.I truly despise these threads. UE4 obsession is masturbatory nonsense.

But he hates video games. So like... yeah!Actually Ebert does write about film technologies.
Beyond the 2D and 3D debate? If so I stand corrected then.Actually Ebert does write about film technologies.
No surprise here.
Won't affect me much though. Nintendo's games have been the only thing worth buying a Nintendo console for some time now. As long as the Wii U's 1st party lineup doesn't disappoint like the Wii did, I'll be fine.

Bah, very dissappointing, but expected. I'll still buy the Wii U, but not at launch, I'm thinking of waiting a year or two until the library builds up. Looking back, the Wii and Gamcube have amazing libraries built up over time, it's just painful having to sit through the droughts.
That's going to be my move as well. Ill wait till it gets a couple Mario's, a new Zelda, and a price drop and then Ill swoop in like a eagle on that ish.

The Gahiggidy Scale shall be how all future hardware is evaluated.
Wii WI'll wait for the revision
the hyping of UE4 among gaming consumers is kind of gross
Mike Capps revealed it at GDC.Is nobody seriously doubting that he was allowed to reveal such weighty information so casually?
Mike Capps revealed it at GDC.
Totally inline with my expectation on the performance of WiiU.
They already have a UE3 for machines like Ps360-U and Ipads. Was surprised by that myself. Epic could have some downgraded version down the line though.

This is currently how I see things. I'm disappointed in Nintendo. I mean I had a PC that ran Crysis years ago...

vita is more than 360 and ps3?
Wonder where GTA4 modded out falls. 90? 110?
You know what better not happen? Unreal 4 sucking on some platforms for a good while.
Remember when Unreal 3 games were terrible on ps3 for a good few years?
Well that's a shame... does this mean the Wii U isn't that powerful then?
Yep. I remember those days. Ugh.
I still think it will be more powerful than your estimation but man, I'm sorry for accusing you of being a Nintendo hater if I indeed was guilty of that. Had it done recently from a few folks for criticizing nintendo. People really should t have such emotional attachments to corporations where they feel the need to defend said organization in the face of legitimate criticism.
I actually didnt regret the PS3 purchase at all. Produced thousands of hours of entertainment.I can only imagine how it felt for folks that bought it for $600, or even up to $2000 or so on ebay and realize it had some shit optimized games =/
I guess this probably means that Beyond Good & Evil 2 won't be coming to Wii U.
i don't think beyond good & evil 2 is coming to anything.
