The Legend of Zelda live-action film will release worldwide March 26, 2027

Well......unlike a Disney movie, we can safely assume they won't cast a person of color as any of the main characters. ....being Japan and all.....

What's with the obsession with making every video game movie live action. Give more animated movies
 
Zelda movie should be done & animated by a Japanese studio.
But the general audiences watch the Disney live action/CG remakes so what do I know?!
 
Why not Simu Liu from Shang Chi for Link? I think he'd be good at the role.

Navi - Danny Devito or Taika Waititi
 
There are IPs that I just dont to watch in live action...

I'm HUGE One Piece fan but I couldn't stomach live action movie even 10 min, it just felt so wrong.
 
I would have prefer it anime done by Wit studio and would made same style as Ranking of Kings.

Part of me wonders if the story will not focus on Link or Zelda, but new or other characters, with link only showing up at the end to resolve the movies conflict (like tha Halo movie forward unto dawn...MC doesn't even show up till the last bit of the movie)
 
I really really don't want Tom Holland as link, actually i don't want a Zelda movie, probabilities of it unfulfilling my expectations are crazy high. Link should be a real teenager, like Atreyu in the neverending story.

Is there some well recieved Zelda novel (graphic or otherwise) or comic book run they could be basing this on? 'Cause just trying to adapt game storylines is.....ambitious to say the least. I'd feel better if there was a more linear plot heavy format to see if it even works (the old cartoon, I guess?) before setting up my first feature to be a "Part 1".

Tom Holland is distracting because he's too famous and he ain't even that good of an actor. Put the budget in production and do what LotR did; cast the right actor for the right role and skip the famous people.
