I was taking a dump and saw a notification stating that i've been a member of this community for 11 years. Got me sentimental and thinking about the last few years.
Asking my uncle if I could use his company mail so I could sign up, if registrations opened at least.
I used to roam around on many forums back then, with different types of communities (music, art, warez). It feels like all those forums shut down or the community changed for the worse (I'm looking at you BB.com).
After a while GAF was the only forum i lurked and it feels like this is the last place where the community hasn't shifted to either side. It's still a comfy forum which I still visit almost on a daily basis.
I'm 33, eventhough the last few years have been the most impactful and I've hit rock bottom, one thing hasn't changed. I still like videogames and I don't see this changing in the upcoming years.
To EvilLore, thanks for picking up the pieces when necessary. To the rest of ya'll, I'm happy to still be here and thanks for all the laughs, cries and reasons for me to hate random strangers on the internet.
Don't ever change, here's to you.
