there remains a degree of envy among some that Xbox managed to inspire the kind of devotion seen in that picture.

And yes, the guy in the photo kissing the "xbox floor" is an xbox fanboy who has "enviable devotion" to the Xbox
He is also INCEL, he hates women and offends them when he doesn't receive attention from them.

And yes, I saw all of this myself on the "xbox fan" profile at the time:

He kisses the ground with his symbol of devotion.

Him calling a woman a "bitch" and "dumb" because she asked for YouTube videos about Halo and ignored his videos about Halo

How I envy all the bizarre lunatic virgins "devoted" to the xbox

That's not quite true- the 360 outsold the PS3 in the UK by quite some margin.

However, there remains a degree of envy among some that Xbox managed to inspire the kind of devotion seen in that picture. PS fans tend to be lone wolves while their Nintendo and Xbox peers are more community oriented.

Good dog.

Ok, so you're really using the bad behaviour on one Xbox fan to condemn that whole community?

He's talking about the kind of devotion you were praising ...If anybody here tend to generalize, it is you, but hey you just pulled your best card.

Not quite. There's a difference in making an observation that PS devotees are often "lone wolves" versus Det posting about the worst behaviour he can find from a single Xbox fan and using that to condemn the fanbase as a whole.

And obviously you've proven your own hyper-sensitivity to any perceived criticism of PlayStation and its fans, so ironically you are the one brandishing your own victim card. Oops.

Please point where I played the victim card or even defended any community in my post ......
Unlike you who felt that devotion to a brand was a good thing and using your "observations" as evidence to generalize vs someone used your post and another to point how devotion was a bad thing...
The fact that someone is calling you out on your hypocrisy and the only thing you perceive through your fanboy clouded mind is hypersensitivity toward a brand is the proof that your vision of things only goes through the prism of console war.
D Det pointing out that devotion to the point of stupidity is a bad thing and the only one here that thought that this comment applied to all xbox community is you.
So maybe use that sense of observation to start an introspection and wonder why someone pointing the flaws in your post suddenly becomes an agression toward all xbox comunity.
See in all that post no victim card either just plain old fact something you seems to have difficulties getting a grasp of...
Because devotion as D Det seemed to point out, is not a good thing no matter the brand/team/party you deemed yourself part of.

That was the subtext of your posts and really the only possible reason why you'd choose to defend his unhinged rant.

Where did I suggest that I thought the devotion was a good thing? I just pointed out that some appear to be envious of it.

That's interesting because I correctly made the point that it's ridiculous for him to attack a whole fanbase based on the actions of one person and your response was to... claim I'm the one generalising? :messenger_grinning_smiling:

D Det pointing out that devotion to the point of stupidity is a bad thing and the only one here that thought that this comment applied to all xbox community is you.
No, his intent was quite clear:
How I envy all the bizarre lunatic virgins "devoted" to the xbox
Notice his use of "all"?

So maybe use that sense of observation to start an introspection and wonder why someone pointing the flaws in your post suddenly becomes an agression toward all xbox comunity.
He didn't point out any flaws in my post, he just used it as an excuse to go on a rant about a random Xbox fanboy and use that as a reason to tarnish an entire group of people.

See in all that post no victim card either just plain old fact something you seems to have difficulties getting a grasp of...

You're getting awfully wound up for someone accusing others of playing the "victim card." :messenger_hushed:

So, jealous of that "devotion". They were so devoted, they all vowed to be celibate for life. Totally by choice. For Xbox. No one has sex until Aaron gets laid.

All of this just shows that you either have serious reading comprehension or a deeply seaated persecution complex.
But let's take your post ppoint by point.
1.The subtext of my posts ....You barely manage to understand what is in plain text don't try to understand subtext(we'll get to it later)
2. so according to you people would be envious of the more toxic crowd then ?Do you have examples of people being envious of bad things ?
3. Still no generalizing in his post he points a some xbox "devoted" fans once again it is you that wanted to make this about xbox comunity as a whole.
4.that's the exact point that showed that you didn't understand anything he said but I will rephrase so it will be easier for you to get it.
All of the xbox devoted fans =/= all of xbox fans it is not that hard of a difference to understand all the subset of lunatics is not the same as all the fanbase.Let's take another example even easier for you .Look at a country then take all the redhead of that country this does not mean that all the country is made of redheads.Do you see the difference there?
How hard was it to understand so yeah of everybody here it is you that is generalizing.
5.Your point being that you didn't like how I methodically destroyed each point you made simply because you were spewing bullshit and got caught.Next time try to better understand what you are replying to, stop playing the victim card for an entire comunity that wasn't even attacked to begin with....Unless you identify as a devoted fan similar to those D Det showed...But then the problem can only be fixed by yourself.
And just to be clear I'm not wounded up or anything if I were, I would make bullshit claims or even try to purposefully misunderstand everything I'd read just to claim a way out ....But between us two, it's not me that is doing that.
Now if you want to continue, then continue alone I managed to get a glimpse good enough of your contributions to understand that you are not the kind of user I want to engage with.Feel free to leave you best contribution to this forum, emojis we won't get much better from you.Say hello to my ignore list.

I didn't comment one way or another on whether it was "good" or "bad", I just stated that some people are envious that Xbox attracts such devoted fans. I didn't say they were envious of the fans themselves, more so that the brand is able to inspire such dedication. There will be elements of toxicity in any fan base, something both you and your buddy Det seem oblivious to.

3. Still no generalizing in his post he points a some xbox "devoted" fans once again it is you that wanted to make this about xbox comunity as a whole.
No he pointed at one fan and used him to condemn a larger group.

How hard was it to understand so yeah of everybody here it is you that is generalizing.
Still... no. He generalised a community of fans based on the actions of one person.

Methodically? Your posts are emotionally driven and barely legible. You jumped in with that "victim card" meme and it was all downhill from there.

And just to be clear I'm not wounded up or anything if I were, I would make bullshit claims or even try to purposefully misunderstand everything I'd read just to claim a way out ....But between us two, it's not me that is doing that.

one?

This is one of the leaders of the Xbox Sect in Brazil... They easily earned 10 thousand Reais per month from the Sect's faithful
Including the famous "xbox milgrau" sect canceled by Xbox itself at the behest of Phill Spencer.
(10 thousand reais in Brazil is equivalent to an upper middle class)

Today they are on the deep web using dog whistle symbols for neo-Nazis.

No, no one envies the Xbox Sect's behavior that you call "devotion"

One of those Xbox milgrau lunatics threatened the daughter of the journalist who reported them to Phill Spencer

Microsoft likely looked at that figure, estimated the new few years of sales and decided to just rip off the bandaid and go fully third party.

Reminds me of Sega making a similar decision after disappointing holiday 2000 Dreamcast sales.

I believe Microsoft made the decision way earlier. They have made little to no effort to sell consoles for the past 18 months or so. No Starfield bundles or limited editions to speak of, and that was the game that would "do it" for them. Compared to the previous two generations, in which we saw lots of special editions of the Xbox 360 and Xbox One, Microsoft have shown apparent disinterest in doing anything like that with the Xbox Series X/S consoles. They're basically letting their hardware die.

Sega was in a dire situation. They had no other choice since they were literally bleeding money. It was either keep selling a console that no one bought or save the company.

Agreed, I think an ultimatum was set for the Activision deal. If it didn’t move the needle in terms of console sales and Gamepass subscriptions then they’d have to go third party to make the money back.

However after a poor holidays 2024 I think they’ve really doubled down now.

Oh, yes. They're fully committed now. It's the end for Xbox but great news for Microsoft Gaming. They'll make tons of money.

People mocked Jim Ryan, but he put the final nail in Xbox' coffin:
I'm willing to bet the 10-year COD deal that Jim Ryan got out of it was what fucked Xbox over.

Makes sense that he announced his retirement right after the deal went through.

Basically a mic-drop nobody noticed.

I think the end point was whichever year they first had the series s at $150 and then series x for $350 and that didn't really move the sales needle. Everything since is just the MS fud campaign on steroids.
