Just watched this last night on Max. I wouldn’t put it in the top tier of a24 movies but it was quite good. I guess you could call it an homage to The Elephant Man. Fantastic performances from all 3 leads. Very fucking weird and confusing ending with a hamfisted message IMO.

I had a feeling as soon as I saw this guy that it wasn’t makeup, but goddamn did he do a great job here. Shoutout to him. Anyone else watch this?

Adam is an experienced speaker and has given a TEDx talk. He is also an ambassador for Jeans For Genes and The Childhood Tumour Trust. Adam won a RADAR Award and a Diana Award for his campaigning work."

This movie and The Substance are easily two of the best movies of 2024 and both contain similar themes of self respect and self acceptance.
