Hey guys, we at Aksys Games are auctioning a bunch of our stuff for the benefit of Japan's restoration after the tragic circumstances of the natural disaster it faced.
We'll first start off with the auctions for some of the figures I've donated to the cause, after which, much more swag will be incoming to bid on
Reposting the original post made on our official site in regards to my figure auction
Aksys Games said:(We <3 Japan. Bo loves it more than us. In fact, there is an ode to Bo.)
The Boem
In South California there was a young man,
Who liked to import plastic toys from Japan.
This mans name was Bo, and his toys were legion;
All cross his desk stood bright figures gleaming.
Not a cheap hobby, no; that he could not deny,
But every new package brought joy to his eye.
Then one day came the news: Tragedy in Japan!
Earthquakes had ravaged Bos toys homeland!
O, what can I do, cried the man, his mood now quite black.
Theyd given him so much, now what could he give back?
Soon the answer came to him, like a bolt from the blue:
He could sell off his toysthough he wondered to who.
Then the money hed take; send it far cross the sea.
After all, reconstruction could hardly be free.
To part with his toys? A cruel task for Bo.
But assistance was needed, so charity ho.
Now here his toys sit: They wish to help too.
Who will take the next step? Could that person be you?
This is why he is auctioning off his beloved collection of figures to help those in need in Japan. He has kept every single figure in pristine condition, and one is even unopened! 100% of the proceeds from these auctions will go to America Red Cross. Their message:
Your gift to the American Red Cross will support our disaster relief efforts to help those affected by the earthquake in Japan and tsunami throughout the Pacific. On those rare occasions when donations exceed American Red Cross expenses for a specific disaster, contributions are used to prepare for and serve victims of other disasters.
Donate to Japan out by bidding on one of Bos (beloved) figures, and watch for more Aksys-related items on Play for Japan soon! To find more info on this initiative, and to learn how to participate, visit us at http://www.playforjapan.org.
