Fall Guys isn't quite a "party game" though, is it? It's purely online silly competitive gameplay; you wouldn't really get your friends together (although I guess you could) since in the end you're having fun on your own and other players are just more obstacles.

All You Need is Help should work as a distance MP game (everything kind of has to these days,) but it's made for four people who can get along to try and solve puzzles together; it's multiplayer not because you want to beat other players or win with other players, but because you want to play with other players.

I just tried this - looks like it's for little kids but it's the most frustrating thing I've played in a very long time. I never want to see it again.

Played it two players with my daughter, so it splits the controllers. Left stick and buttons for one character, right stick and d-pad for the other. I'll be damned if I can keep track of which character is moving, which one is connected to a block, which one is disconnected. It's ridiculous, I'd say four players is absolutely essential.

Just fitting the pieces together would be challenging enough without the shitty two-player controls, but there's also a time limit. Menus are split across the halved controllers, so we'd be tapping every button on both pads to try to dismiss them. Even starting a game was fiddly. Love the music, but I still have a stress knot in my guts from the half hour I gave this thing.

All I need is a stiff drink! That game has totally soured my evening, I can still feel it.

Sad thing is I bet it's pretty good fun with four like-minded players, but my days of having friends over for gaming sessions are long gone.
