They are trying to chase popular games, how we can blame them for that? They delayed it because there wasn't enough collectibles on the map.

What is this "overwhelming excitement" they speak of?
Are they so sure the game bombs they want to be bought before releasing it because it would tank the value further?
You forgot the land acknowledgement at the beginning and mentioned nothing about diversity of thought. At Ubisoft, we continuously strive to leverage our core competencies while dynamically realigning synergies to proactively allocate resources in a forward-facing manner. In light of the unexpected operational recalibration that resulted in suboptimal outcomes, we want to assure all stakeholders that this moment represents an opportunity for reflective iteration and strategic pivoting.
Our agile frameworks and robust infrastructure are designed to mitigate unforeseen disruptions; however, the emergent nature of this challenge necessitated a rapid redeployment of assets, which inadvertently impacted our holistic deliverables. While we acknowledge the temporary dissonance in stakeholder alignment, we remain steadfast in our commitment to fostering a paradigm of perpetual optimization.
As we move forward, we are activating a cross-functional task force to ideate and implement granular enhancements to our workflow matrix. By synergizing innovative paradigms with actionable insights, we aim to recalibrate our deliverable ecosystem in a manner that maximizes value realization for all impacted verticals.
We deeply appreciate your patience as we navigate this ecosystemic inflection point and are confident that the lessons learned will allow us to achieve unprecedented leverage in our operational bandwidth. Rest assured, we are committed to recalibrating expectations and realigning outcomes in a strategically meaningful and forward-compatible manner.
Well according to Tom Henderson they are rewriting the story a bitThey actually pushed it out of Black History MonthAnd considering their more recent gameplay overviews focused on the girl character, it really begs the question of what they intend to do with Yasuke.
Making him the main character of the game was completely understandable, of course - I mean, the 99% white development team, being on the right side of history, knows that only black lives matter and hip hop music is always an important aspect of traditional japanese settings.
But now that they're quietly sweeping this all under the rug... what do they mean by this
(Narrator: he asks, looking at his newly purchased, ubisoft branded, white robe and torch)
But first, let me address some of the wild rumors about Yasuke—he’s not going to be removed. However, sources have said that the team has been actively addressing many of the historical and cultural concerns, which started before the game’s reveal following external playtests and were accelerated further following the game’s initial reveal and mass feedback. This includes changing some of Yasuke’s story and how he’s portrayed in the game, fixing architectural details, and ensuring that the game is historically grounded while fitting into the Assassin’s Creed universe.

You can tell game studios are full of shit because going by their company photo of 200 employees it heavily skews to white guys too. So for all the DEI inclusion with more women and minorities in the game, the studios dont even put their money where their mouth is and hire more women and minorities. Thats probably why the games have such numbnut jammed in wokeism. All these white guys dont know how to do it as their best experience of blacks, latinos and asians come from watching rap videos, boyz in the hood and ordering chinese take out. You can tell right away, since almost all black people in games are the big brute football player tough guy or has crazy big hair. And almost all of them sound like grew up in a ghetto.Hold up, the way y’all are talking about DEI makes me feel like this forum is full of only white people. Please tell me I’m not the only Black person here? Anyone who’s been through it knows DEI is often just corporate lip service. Seriously, the company I work for has had a dedicated DEI team for the past eight years, yet every high-level position is still occupied by a slice of Wonder Bread. Even our DEI team doesn’t include a single Black person. There’s one Spanish-speaking person, so I guess they think that counts as ‘diverse’?
Imma go touch grass man.
HOLY SH T. Trying not to laugh at my desk.Dammit, now I have to wait even longer to not buy this game.
Our agency has assigned / paid for a series of mandatory DEI trainings. The two people who got scolded for "not participating" were a full native american who was the first to leave their reservation, and a hispanic who HATES the term latin x, just for context, lol. Both are pretty based and i highly respect both. You can only imagine the shades of the instructors......Imma go touch grass man.
Didn't knewEDMIX was writing their apology message for the shareholders.
I'll wait forEDMIX to write another 10000+ words essay in this thread to meticulously and thoroughly detail how this armature writing is far inferior to his authentical output.
They keep delaying this and it will run straight into a buzzsaw named Ghost of Yotei
But at least it won't get eaten alive by Monster Hunter Wilds now I guess
Games that “play it safe” are never hits.It was a deeply retarded idea to make this game with a foreigner protag. Everything aside with the historical figure, you had to know it would be controversial. When you absolutely need a hit game to keep the lights on, why wouldn’t you play it safe.

If they take the black samurai out that would be a big missed opportunity because they really have a chance to do something very unique and they need that element to differentiate the game from Ghost of Tsushima IMO.
It would also set a very back precedent because of these people complaining online are not real gamers, they don’t represent the real world.
