The problem is Assassins Creed as a brand is poison.

Quantity over quality in every game for the last 10 years.

We all know how this game plays out and what you'll be doing in it, that classic Ubisoft formula that has been flogged over and over and over and over and over again............... so so boring.

Ubisoft can't even make a gameplay video these days...

kidding aside (i think), the fighting doesn't look bad at all. but the frame rate or something is off. its like too low or something.

Also its a Ubisoft so fuck them. will buy when its 5$ and doesn't require ubisoft ID / launcher

Visually, it looks really good.

Weird that there's no music tho, that kinda takes the hype out of the action tbh.

Combat looks meh, but sword combat has honestly never been a Ubisoft strongpoint. Even the Ezio games had weak combat.

They should have turned the AC brand into Final Fantasy years ago.

By that I mean completely different concepts and gameplay every time. I thought this was going to happen after that small run they had from Black Flag to Origins, but instead they stuck to just two modes of gameplay, pre-Black Flag and post-Origins.

REAALLY stretching the "7 Minutes" part. What a garbage video.

When it comes to the actual footage though, I'mma be honest, it looks great. The art direction is crisp, graphics look good, the animations are much more polished. They removed the hip hop track and included a more fitting piece around the 5 minute mark. And one might say that with the combat system, they might be aping Ghost of Tsushima too much. However that's music to my ears as I really liked that game's combat a *lot* and if Ubi can't come up with something good themselves, I'd rather have them try to copy someone's homework. Another thing I noticed is that, just like in GoT, atleast in certain moments, they are trying to have lots of movement on the screen. The wind, the leaves, the grass, the trees, everything is moving. It's one of my fav things in GoT, so happy to see that here.

I have, just like most people, ...opinions when it comes to Ubisoft's marketing and messaging about this game. But outside the DEI stuff, I honestly think this will be a banger. Odyssey is my fav game in the series, and this is the same team. I'm checking it out.

Looks boring AF. It's kinda sad that this game is going to sell well not because it deserves it but because of the name. It's like the rich kid at school who always has all the ____ and never has to worry about anything not because they worked hard and earned it but because they got born into into a wealthy family.

Is this a joke video or something? I swear I saw repeated footage every 5 seconds.

Maybe they are trying to convey how it feels to play the game.
Combat in Assassins Creed usually has zero depth and very little enemy variety, so it feels like you are fighting the same handful of enemies in the exact same way for 40 hours.

This series is so fucking depressingly corporate and milquetoast. It's the same bullshit for a decade now. People press buy because of brand recognition, like the gameplay or anything actually matters. It's "a lot of CONTENT", such hours and much A For Awesome. 10mil sold.

This series is the minivan of gaming.

This is what I like to see, an open mind. The game doesnt look bad. Too many people just immediately say the same shit they do in every topic related to this company.

I feel like if Ubisoft is ever to make something interesting again, AC just needs to die. Complete bombage. Then and only then we might get some new IP and innovation again from them.
