Its the npc's and questgivers that sound the worst. Like always in every fucking AC game. How hard is it to hire a voice director?
No way the npcs are worse than naoe, she sound like a bored chick reading from a script :lollipop_grinning_sweat:

This one need to be played with jap va.

For sure is cultural wars. We have some pivotal moments right now

Ubisoft is proudly wearing that flag and taking part in that war. People react to what the very creator of the game wants to be discussed. It's hypocritical to do certain things for brownie points without accepting the foreseeable backlash.

But besides all that, what Ubisoft doesn't want to discuss is the actual quality of the game, which looks mediocre. When did an Assassin's Creed game last evolve from previous games? AC Unity? Origins is the last good AC game but didn't make things better from a mechanics perspective.

This one is just another copypasta without any willingness to really improve on the formula. That's way worse than all the controversy around it and of course, Ubisoft prefers we talk about the fake samurai.

So AC Shadows is the true return to form?

I wish it is still somewhat enjoyable tho we've been waiting for so long for our japanese asscreed

Watching the latest videos aaaand...this is exactly what I expected from Ubisoft, a boring, ugly, badly animated and uninspiring slop - and it's got nothing to do with all the mistakes they did and cookie internet points they tried to amass, I mean, does anyone that actually enjoys (good) video games can say with a straight face that this looks interesting at worst, good at best or that this shite is worth 70 Eurodollars by watching the footage ? This is yet another BS Ubisoft soulless open world tripe but apparently, we're just "hating" on it 'cause were "chuds" and/or assholes since it's the cool thing to do, or, that this whole drama is "fabricated"...

You can't make shit up.

I mean, in the end, everyone is free to spend their hard earned cash on whatever they want, to suggest though that everyone else not aligning with their view is a bigot or a "hater" for not liking this slop is just plain wrong.

Ok, I won't defend Ubisoft or anything but we're talking about Animus here in the game. In Animus you can prepare the stage "around the past". At least we learned that from previous games.

For example I'm playing AC series from the start and right now I'm on the AC4 Black Flag. In that game there is a building in Havana and it shouldn't be in that time period (it would be finished 20-30 years later or something). In building's database entry Abstergo workers say that information themselves and they also say "Put it in game, don't worry about it".

Soooooo I think you understood where I'm coming from. Again I'm not defending any multi million company here. But with "Animus concept" they can do whatever they want to a certain degree.

PS: Hell I even remember something now :messenger_grinning_sweat: In Revelations Ezio comes to Cappadocia by ship hahahah. Cappadocia is on the middle of Anatolia and there are no sea or rivers there. So like I said, compare to these examples some watermelon-cherry blossom overlapping seems so minor for me.

Just like in Xena warrior princess.

They asked Xena(I think this was in a Simpsons episode) why did you have a cell phone in your hand in that one scene. It was a filing mistake right?

And she is like, no, it was a magic wizard off screen and any filming mistakes you see are canon and just done by the wizard for his own amusement.

Just like that.

Guys, I think Assassin's Creed Shadows is in trouble..

Sorry to requote again, but this shit is just too good

As if you needed anything else to know how outraegeously bullshitty the reviews will be :messenger_tears_of_joy: Made for the Modern Audience tm

Im more excited for the inevitable bloodbath this game brings during its release week than any game Im purchasing anytime soon :messenger_grinning_smiling:

All this time for AC to go to the East, and this is the mess of a game and public relations disaster they offer. I don't like people losing their jobs, but it is time for Ubi to shut the doors and let someone else have a crack at their franchises.

For me, this looks like I'll wait until it is $30 or less. I'll set it to Easy, play through the story once as Naoe and maybe grab some collectibles while I parkour around, and then I'm good.

lol, i don't care if Shadows is just getting bullied at this point, there's some pokes that are really reaching, but sooo many simple shit that's overlooked that any random japanese with common sense could point out, it's clear that ubisoft did zero research.

its like Jamie Oliver cooking asian dishes.

I'm as anti-woke as the come, and I think this game looks absolutely baka, but Grummz is going full retard here. More so than usual I mean.

Here is the conspiracy theory: I think someone or some company want to screw up and devalue Ubisoft so badly that they paid unhinged people on the internet and the smear campaign continues.

Maybe if they devalue Ubi, they'll buy the company much cheaper? I don't know man but these people are crazy right now and this is not normal.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
Just waiting for the inevitable Grummz "I don't know how much you know about Japan, but I'm (in contact with a local) Expert." tweet.

Can’t tell if I’m losing my edge or the hate for this game is out of control. The only part of it I find woke is the non-binary character. I don’t get the rest.

yeah i know, Ronin gameplay is basically Nioh gameplay, that is amazing

How Ronin is not out on PC amazes me, companies really like to lose money
It's coming to PC in march, and unfortunately, the combat is nowhere as good as Nioh, but compared to Assassin's Creed Shadows of course it's 100x better.

Someone tell these guys you cand ransack monasteries in Valhalla. They should retroactivly outrage.
Well, if we want to be lore accurate we need to give players a chance to kill the samurai’s entire family, including women and children.
