I hope they open the marketing valves, I want more of it. Its out in 10 days (premium) and 15 days (standard).

Microsoft tend to run barely-there marketing for games but will do some kind of noteworthy ad. "We're on the LV sphere!" "We're in Times Square!"

It'll be interesting to see if this is part of a bigger campaign. But it wouldn't surprise me if this is practically the entire thing!

It'll be fun if Microsoft start advertising games again for the first time in a decade though.

My nephew is advertising at Times Square for his gap year. Everything and anything is there now, it's not a big deal.

Is the pc gamepass version the early play one?

You need the premium (or whatever they're calling it) for the early access. You can pay to buy an upgrade, but otherwise Gamepass players have to slum it with the regular release date players. These upgrades normally give DLC and some cosmetics alongside the early access but AFAIK, Avowed doesn't have any DLC so you'd have to really want to play it early to justify buying the upgrade to yourself.

You will have to get premium edition upgrade for that.

It is expensive and doesn’t include any future expansion so is poor value imo.
Fuck that, normal version it is then, thanks guys.

The game aged very poorly. They frontloaded all of the best content in the first 10 hours. It does nothing remarkably well and the writing is braindead and full of Reddit cringe.

Yea I no longer have much hope for Bethesda writing after Starfield, although I think the writer left…

Some of the worst quest designs and story direction pushes I’ve seen in all my cRPG experience.

I have a lot more expectations from Avowed. The murmurs about it as peoples have review copies is that it’s a goatsidian one.

The jury is out on 'Modern Obsidian' but I'm open to the idea of it being good.

I don’t know about this since Outer Worlds was mid from overall story to most characters to combat to world design.

I liked PoE 2 and loved New Vegas and KOTOR 2 (both after patching and with mods), but it doesn’t seem modern Obsidian is looking toward their better games.

Let’s hope Avowed turns out well, but I have some doubts.
