Obsidian opened the previews to a ton of YouTubers along with the gaming press, and still we’re getting claims of the game being ‘gassed up’ from someone who hasn’t played it.

I've been expressing my concerns about how mediocre Avowed is shaping up to be for the last year and half. You are just slow on the uptake and making wild assumptions about my "real motives" at this point.

BaldUr's Gate 3 overall was as gay as an entire aircraft carrier filled by a legion of miniaturized Elton Johns and Freddie Mercury, yes.
It was a game where it was far easier to stumble on some gay couple than an eterosexual one (like, a 8:2 ratio) and where most of the interactions with your companions were focuses on "romancing" them, with very little room for friendship.

But at least it had its fair share of redeeming qualities in other areas and you didn't spend significant amount of times being lectured on how to properly use pronouns.

On top all the wokeness was completely optional, opposite to many other games, true woke game is not some pronouns that take 5secs to ignore/forget, but that pushes woke agenda, and by proxy its quality is not priority to the devs anymore.

Good example to all that was DA:I from 10years ago vs current DA:V, previous one won Game Awards and sold 12m copies, but if some1 didnt like woke stuff like myself, we could not even see it, i even remember durning whole 120h of the time i played(and enjoyed) it i only enoucetered one(!) questionable dialogue option, which took me by surprise and ofc i didnt chose it, that is it, i could play and have fun with the game like its normal good game which it was (and im glad i bought it at launch for my ps4).
Now in comparision DA:V is exactly opposite- u are forced to suffer tru woke stuff, game quality dropped into oblivion from graphics to story to dialogues to characters, and ofc it bombed, and it bombed hard, rightfully so

• Timing - this is coming off the Veilguard
• Elon tweeting about it has made it a major talking point.

And the games you mentioned have come and gone, and most importantly - they reviewed well.

I'm one of the guys who wasn't particularly bothered by the pronoun option in itself, if that was all it was. Assuming the rest of the game was fine (i.e., good story, characters, dialog), I would just select he/him and get on with it. I just want a good WRPG. I'm still hoping for that. He's the art director, not the narrative director, so maybe he/him didn't affect the storytelling. But this is not a good sign...
