I remember playing Zelda Wind Waker on the game cube for 9 hours straight high at a friends house, good times.I really liked BG&E when it came out. A nice little Zelda-like with great music, and just dark enough thematically not to interfere with the shit ton of pot I smoked at the time. Not very interested in whatever the hell a sequel would be at this point.
This. I wager 5$ its current and final form will be some "Ubisoft original" GAAS anyway. What's the fucking point without Michel Ancel?
It's like making a new Nier game without Yoko Taro or a new Dark Souls without Miyazaki
Wouldnt be surprised if Ancel was a dick. Anyone can google it now and see what was written 4 years ago when he left. Video game companies have a knack for crazy employees and wild west corporate culture. Here is an article about it.

Beyond Good & Evil creator Michel Ancel quits videogames to work in an animal sanctuary
Ubisoft said Ancel hasn't been 'directly involved' in BG&E2 for for awhile, and his departure will not impact the game.www.pcgamer.com
It sounds like Ancel was caught making a hostile work environment and was told to retire.
Of course, they made it look like it was his own descision to retire.
Literally came to post these two things but was beaten to it.No it's not.
Even if BG&E 2 releases someday you can't trust the Ubisoft of today not to find a way to screw something up. From making games for "the modern audience" to their shitty business practices, never bet on Ubi.And It's been nearly 20 years since this game was announced. Who the hell is this even going to appeal too?
Already there, buddy. I'm just not sure exactly who or what they're going for at this point. Michele Ancel also seems to be more into hiking and retired and left Wild, which I think was cancelled, in the middle of development.Even if BG&E 2 releases someday you can't trust the Ubisoft of today not to find a way to screw something up. From making games for "the modern audience to shitty business practices, never bet on Ubi.
Money laundering? Why do they even bother?
