On the show Corgan proclaimed his love of Jones' Super Male Vitality health supplements, but mostly he was there to, in Jones' own words, ”demolish social justice warrior brainwashing." Terms like ”this hashtag generation"/"hashtagging" and ”technocracy" came up. Corgan agreed these liberals and SJWs are a cult and compared them to the KKK. He made this analogy:

”If we could transport back to ... a time where racism was accepted. It was institutionalized. OK? If you could go back to Selma, 1932 and the Klan member spitting in some person of color's face, don't you think that guy thought he was right too? OK. So how is this any different?"

Never was a Smashing Pumpkins fan.

Hey now. We've been able to go years knowing that he's crazy and yet at the same time know that he's such a nobody at this point that I don't even have to think about him. Let's keep it that way.

Wild that they had top billing at a show with The Breeders, Beastie Boys, and A Tribe Called Quest

To think he’s gone downhill from there.

Billy Corgan is a nut job for sure but has written some of the greatest albums ever so the SP dissing is strange. Then again NeoGAF as a whole has awful taste in music so I shouldn't be surprised.

With that said, I may or may not attend reunion shows next year. Too many chemtrails in the sky!

I was never a huge Smashing Pumpkins fan, but they were still one of the alt rock bands I grew up with, and probably subconsciously shaped some of my musical preferences. I always wanted to go back and do a deep dive into their discography (I only ever listened to their first few albums with any frequency), but it seemed like whenever I came close to doing so, Billy Corgan was saying something douchy and uncomfortable in an interview, and my interest was killed.

I'm glad he finally finished the job.

This is like his 3rd or 4th form, you can still enjoy 1st form Corgan with the Smashing Pumpkins. Before he started his transformation into man-wearing-too-many-layers.

For a guy who has one of the worst live singing voices in the history of rock, he made some catchy songs. Sucks he's a shithead.

Not really, their discography is pretty spectacular and they could put on great shows, not to mention Jimmy Chamberlin is one of the best drummers of the past 50 years...

But...

Billy has always been a bit “out there.” I’ve listened to the band a lot over the years, and it’s quite obvious that Corgan’s mind has continued to deteriorate. He’s always been a bit of an asshole, and he’s always had a bit of a psychotic side but I really do think he has now completely lost it over the past several years. Really disappointed to see him make these comments, he’d have been better off sticking to music and staying out of anything political. He’s just hurting himself, his band and how they’ll be remembered when he does this.

Great studio music but dude sucked live. Shit got to him so much he had to take singing lessons. Man he's aged and him dressing like a homeless person ain't helping any either.

So, how long until we start seeing any health risks caused by those "supplements?" Everyone who takes them already seems paranoid & irrational & old & white & racist & angry, but part of me has a feeling that, even if they're meant to just be sugar pills to scam the well-off & stupid, they may have some unforeseen side-effect.
