Bloober Team has announced Cronos: The New Dawn, coming 2025 (Steam, PS5, Xbox)

Awesome. Will be looking out for gameplay trailers.

Ok now answer me this, why do first party studios, and other studios take years to make games and big gaps in between?
In the past didn't they have the art staff move to another game while the first game was being finished, and same for other departments, that way everyone has a job to do?
Why do modern studios not do this? They used to be able to release games in quick succession, but only devs I see do this are smaller teams/ AA devs (Spiders comes to mind).
This should be especially true with sequels or games that share the same engine/design.
Big companies sometimes iterate games over and over, wasting tons of time. They do this because they tend to have too much bureaucracy to make quick decisions and have huge sales expectations which means the games are usually risk averse and monetized as much as possible.

If the company is small, like Blooper, they can just make something they think is cool and get on with it.

New screenshots are dripping with atmosphere, I can feel it in my bones, this is going to be 🔥🔥🔥 Also, different armor sets confirmed based on two of these shots 👌

Looks like the same armor from different angles unless I am missing one of the screens. But it does look amazing.

Maaaan, this ticks all the right boxes, in fact, it looks too good to be true coming from Bloober 🤔

I've yet to play SH2Re but I just can't give them the benefit of the doubt yet, sure, it may look and sound good (like most Bloober games) but they'll somehow find a way to fook things up (gameplay, console performance) like they usually do...

Hope I'm wrong 'cause this really looks right up my alley, guess we'll have to wait and see.

Title needs to be cut down to just 'Chronos' - the 'Title-colon-subtitle' format needs to die in a fire, it makes a game sound instantly forgettable (Flintlock: Siege of Dawn; Unknown 9: Awakening) - but I'm glad it's third-person and action-driven. Yeah, I'm interested.

Probably because those names are already 'taken'?

I hate it as well.

Hell no. I'm so happy that are not touching the series and hopefully never again like they originally stated.
Riiiiiiiight. Well, after SH2R's success, they're surely going back to it at some point, so enjoy it while you can. 🙃

This game looks great though! Wasn't sure what to expect, but it wasn't something that looks this cool and SO soon.

As a passionate hater of Bloober's amateurish projects (SH2 not included) it's nice to see them learning and evolving. Consider me interested.

Be interested to see how this turns out when they don't have solid source material to fall back upon.

Bloober have got my attention again after SH2.

Looks really cool, also the pistol transforming reminds me of the Dominator from Psycho Pass, hopefully it fills the Dead Space shoes nicely.
