Just noticed I've been made a member, so thought I'd do a camping thread.

Anyone else here enjoy spending a few nights in the great outdoors under canvas?

This is my current set up

Haven't used it as much as I'd have liked recently, due to the arrival or 2 kids, but still try and get out as much as possible.

Looking to add a camper van (small) soon, so the tent can just be used for sleeping and cooking etc can be done in the van (running a bit low on space with 2 kids and a dog)

For a few reasons, over the last four year or so, haven't done as much camping as used to, but certainly have done, whenever possible. Am in the market for a new tent actually, have got a voucher at a local outdoor good store, and that, my good sir, is one legit freakin' tent. This tee-pee style of tent has not as far as i know made it's way over here. Gonna do some research. Doesn't look like the kind of thing that you lug around on multi-night trek though.

It's a Swedish company

So they are meant for proper serious cold weather camping. Probably a bit over the top for my needs, but I thought what the hell.....

No, I wouldn't fancy doing a trek with it. They do a lighter version (more "modern" canvas) and it is only a single pole, but still, not ideal for that use.

i like your vehicle OP. it looks super practical. i haven't seen anything like that here in america. what is it?

i need to go camping more, but i feel like i need to buy a gun first. (usa)

I want to go camping in Jasper National Park (Alberta, Canada) with a couple of friends this summer, in the backwoods. Would be a first time for all of us. We would be backpacking, no vehicles or anything like that.

I want to go out and see Glacier before it melts... I have a Nemo Espri 2p tent.

Super lightweight and takes about a minute to set up.

I used to go camping all the time in Boy Scouts and vacationing with family and friends. Not these days. although if scenery like that was around here I'd certainly do it more often! Camping in the mountains is AMAZING.

I fucking love camping and I consider anyone else who does to be a brother in arms.
