Canabidiol (CBD)

very slight buzz on very high doses, full spectrum cbd oil has been recommended by doctors cuz it has good benefits for anxiety and I think inflammation? I remember a friend telling me that he was recommended some by his doc to try and help with his panic attacks.

Did he only used once or for 2 months and so on? My doctor told me the full effect on anxiety will take 6 weeks.

this can help, just keep in mind that erowid is a place for psychedelic enthusiasts. From the looks of it, I think that the body builds a bit of a tolerance to it over time. Not very clear on how it all works but i'm betting the body gets used to managing the cbd in the system hence the 6 weeks.

Compared to THC though it’s average.

CBD is purely medicinal, doesn't have psychoactive effects like THC. My favorite edibles are actually 1:1 THC to CBD, very relaxing, makes you feel like both your pain and your stress is just melting away.

Make sure to get the water soluble stuff, preferable in an entourage mix with most of the other cannabinoids, terpenes; and even other adjuvants.

Standard CBD oil has very poor bioavailability. The water soluble "oil" used to be 2-3x the price back when I started with it, but the process is mature now and doesn't seem much more expensive. Your body can use something like 5x as much of it vs the standard oil. So even when it was a lot more expensive it still worked out much better.

Not sure where you are but this is the stuff I used here in the UK: https://www.simply-cbd.co.uk/collec...luble-cbd-4-4-strength?variant=37927969980599

CBD by itself is pretty tame. Just makes me feel lethargic and sometimes gives me a headache. Full spectrum with THC just makes me feel lightheaded and dizzy while affecting my short-term memory. Nothing to write home about.

Doctor gave me this for severe anxiety to take once at night. What should I expect? Thoughts?
Most people feel noticeably calm/relaxed when they take CBD. However, I know of 1 person who said they took CBD and had an anxiety attack. Do you also consume THC cannabis or drink alcohol regularly? If so, I don't think CBD will affect you in any way that is overwhelming for you if you're comfortable with how those other substances make you feel. I think you'll be fine. (y)

Didn't do anything for me. Indica vape was very relaxing though. I felt much better with that compared to edibles

Agreed. Not sure if OP is down with anything psychoactive, but smoking/vaping Indica will definitely chill you out more so than CBD if not make you fall asleep right away, especially at night after a long day. Tolerance increases too quickly with edibles for them to be a long-term solution.

This is the camp im in.

My Dog also suffers from extreme anxiety and it did absolutely nothing for the poor fucker.

I reasearched and found out that CDB works the best on people with mild anxiety, you would need to take over 50 bottles in a single day to get high. People who suffers with anxiety attacks and extreme anxiety like me and OP are better off without medication, or by using marijuana itself for temporary relif during episodes. The best cure for extreme anxiety is getting rid of the source of the problem.

Works great for me. I'm smoking flower though. I assume a tincture would be as effective.

Doesn't matter how much you take there is no active ingredient in it, take too much and you'll probably just puke up.

As for the cure for extreme anxiety in my dog unfortunately I can't ask him whats up although certain adverts on thr TV can trigger him, and im not getting rid 😂.

All joking aside i hope you have it under control my Mrs used to suffer terrible, but that was drink related, much better now.

I relied on CBD oil to get me through an old job that was really physically intensive and stressful (working 11:30pm to 8:30 am from October to December unpacking/sorting/setting up truck after truck after truck of Christmas shit for a specific retailer every night.) The lack of customers was great, but the constant stress of "what do you mean there's another truck" and "the elevator just broke with twenty boxes of plastic trees in it" was nicely set at ease by the oil. I was living in WA at the time, and this was before they stopped allowing the sale of Delta-8, so it was pretty good stuff. Helped with the accumulating joint pain from moving heavy shit around and kept me from feeling too pressed about deadlines and shoddy equipment.

Can't guarantee it'll work for everyone, but if you wanted a testimonial, I can vouch that it at least does something, or that it sure did for me.

I wouldn't treat it like an NSAID or tylenol or anything- hard as those might be on the gut or liver (I had to have my liver ultrasounded once because I was living off painkillers for a different awful nightshift job lol) those medicines do what I'd think of as "real work." Y'know- I'm already hurt, I need to react to that with a treatment. I sort of leaned on CBD preventatively, knowing I was about to have my ass kicked by the job, and the relaxing effect it had kept me from needing painkillers after. Which was nice, I didn't wanna go back to the doctor. Didn't have good insurance at the time, so even making eye contact with someone who had a PhD was liable to cost me $400.

What is causing the anxiety. You should work on overcoming that so you don't take medication for it.
Would also like an answer to this- I didn't do well with "couch" therapy, but I had a really cool cognitive behavioral therapist who had this "here's a toolbox so you can fix it" approach to mental health. Depending on where they're at mentally, Sparta might benefit from one or the other.

CBD is legit. You get strong effects that dull out pain and relax muscles. It's like the benefits of an opioid without the liver damage and bodily resource ravaging.

CBD has never done anything for me, but I also tend to have insanely high tolerances, even for new medications.

I found that the best blend that works for me is 2:1 CBD:THC edibles. So good. But yeah, everyone has their sensitivity levels and how they are affected by CBD/THC, so it's best to try a few and figure out what you like.
