Hopefully, we get an announcement of not a remastered Greek Saga, but a remake using the latest from santa monica's engine.
Santa Monica has had a ton of growth and I think it makes sense to revisit the Greek Saga before going onto Egypt or something else like that.

Probably about secret level but as a god of war fanboy, I hope it is about remake of Greek games. Valhalla seems like a prelude to it, surely they didn't spend so much money, effort and time to recreate greek environment, characters and enemies just for a free dlc( admittedly an awesome one but still).

Man, I can’t wait to see that remake and how they change the script. I don’t see modern Sony keeping some of the parts in the old GoW games intact.

Nor should they. The games are far more popular today than they were on the PS2 and PS3. They should have a similar tone from the originals, but they should follow in the the footsteps of the reboot.

You overrate your own importance here.
God of War 2018 sold over 23 million units across PS4 and PC. Ragnarok has sold over 15 million units.
God of War 3 was the best-selling God of War game before that and it sold 5.2 million units.
The vast majority of current players never played the originals.

lol, my importance is certainly tiny, especially so considering I liked GoW 2018 the best amongst all GoW games.
But considering modern online discourse, a remake of first GoW games that inject shit for “modern audiences” will get eviscerated.

That's pretty unfortunate. Gow 2018 is my favourite game till date. And I would prefer if they kept the essence of he originals, especially the story and epic battles. The zeus boss battle from gow 3 is still the best boss battle, imo.
The Playstation is an Xbox.

We've got to stop with the culture war BS in video games.
I think they'll stay true to the tone of the original games. That doesn't mean they have to have a sex mini-game, though. The original story telling was almost entirely devoid of depth. They have a lot they can fix there.
The original God of War game took 9 hours to beat. God of War 2 was 12 hours. God of War 3 was 10 hours.
Ragnarok was 26.5 hours.
You could probably wrap up the entire saga in one long game.

No thanks. Ragnarok and 2018 were bloated.
GoW 3 had perfect pacing, and was very replayable. In terms of actual moment to moment gameplay, I wouldn't be surprised if 3 had more than the Dad or War games.

The tv animation series Secret Levels, which features Kratos, debuts December 10, 2024.
December 3rd is also the PlayStation 30th anniversary day. So Sony could announce there a remaster/remake of the first, original, GoW titles to have them ready and fresh for the PC players.

I'm sure a bunch of longtime fans like the camera pulled back. Prefer action combat with the camera of DMC, Stellar Blade, GOW 1,2,3 and NG.
