DC just can’t catch a break.
Walter Hamada has officially stepped down as the head of DC Films at Warner Bros. Discovery.
Hamada exits the studio after having worked at Warners for over fifteen years, and served as the President of DC Films for four years.
Zaslav had been open about a desire to bring in another Kevin Feige-style executive to run DC.
Hamada is expected to move on to another position as a producer or executive. He was reportedly offered another producing deal, but turned it down and criticised WBD’s decision to scrap “Batgirl”.
Current Warner Bros. heads Michael De Luca and Pam Abdy will steer the ship at DC until a more permanent replacement is found.
