Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?

- Started as a 1 man passion project.
- Final game is being worked on by a small team.
- Visual / world goal is to make something full of fantasy, whimsy and art-deco look.
- Navigation involves jumping, climbing, hookshots etc
- All characters have unique combat styles and skill trees, eg one characters skills involve fortune telling within fights
- Battles have no damage bonuses, you can beat all battles and bosses without taking any damage
- Normal playthroughs will only let you unlock 2/3rd of all skills, 100%-ing will require grinding in the end-game
- Designed to be able to let the players "break the game" with skills and passives
- Art direction was focused on making types of environments that have not been seen in other games before
- World Map will make old school JRPG fans happy, added because developer missed JRPG's having them now
- Mounts can swim and/or fly to traverse the world map quickly
- The world map mount's lore is that it is the most powerful but also the laziest creature in the world (lol)
- Towns, NPCs, merchants etc all present like traditional JRPGs
- Can camp any time in the game, dialogue and conversations between party members in the camps.

Gonna be a pass for me, looks kinda meh and this is one of those games with 'cluttered' visuals.

But art direction looks good and have to say the UI looks outstanding. Especially how the menus and hit numbers bland into gameplay.

Sounds too good to be made by a small team, this said im fine if the game is nowhere near as massive as FF 7 Rebirth or if it's short if the game's fun/interesting all the time, the story sounds very good

Sounds really interesting. I love the unique art style. The only thing that concerns me is the turn-based combat, but I'm somewhat reassured by what I'm seeing - it looks pretty dynamic and engaging. I also appreciate the comparisons to Lost Odyssey, which is the only turn-based game I ever really connected with.
