From wat Ive seen, just higher level enemies, but somehow Ogres spawned across the bridge with only 3 across...I missed exactly how though...
Unless they fixed the glitch, you can get one person across and have them spawn.

To be fair I realized I can recover health in Crota battle in the last week... I always played without take hits to survive until the end.
