  • RE Engine,
  • Better Graphics,
  • Reworked Story, just like the RE2,RE3 and RE4 Remakes,
  • And diferent camera angle it seems

Day one - the game design for this was excellent.

- Lose the weird platforming
- could also lose the swimming sections
+ add the deeper combat mechanics of the later games
+ Throw in more unique bosses
+ fix the camera and it's the best action game of all time - fitting because it started the genre.

I have been thinking of going into this series. Is this a notoriously hard game or like the old GOW hack and slash ones?

The one game series which really doesn't even need remakes? I mean, c'mon, there's nothing to remake there but visuals. Well, I guess the second one could've been better, but still. No, no, NO! Dino Crisis!

This will be for PS5 / PC / Switch 2. There won't be an Xbox version since PS5, Switch 2 and PC are already Xboxes.

Plays with kids toys, in the adult gaming world
Tatsunoko vs Capcom remaster would be a perfect switch 2 launch game

Devil May Cry is so overrated....bring back Maximo or Mega Man Legends

Capcom is sitting on a goldmine of IP and keeps doing the same safe shit

Combat in DMC has way more depth than any of the GOW games. You can button mash your way through it, but mastering it is a whole other thing. Watching videos of people who are truly masters of it is amazing.

I'm down for a remake of the first 4 games.

Start with 3, do it in chronological order, and work in the other non-game content as well(manga/etc).

Dream remake. Devil May Cry 1 is the best in terms of tone, setting, and characterization of Dante. Really solid game that would benefit from the modern DMC5 combat depth, as long as they take out that shitty underwater section. Also let me fight the real Vergil that would end up in DMC3, not this reskin of previous bosses.

I'll play it but I'd rather have a continuation of Dante and Vergil's story in hell. They have unfinished business with Mundus.

This industry really is going to remake itself to its death - isn't it?
Complete un-needed, waste of time crap, like the upcoming MGS3 (just play the original - its already perfect) - and now this - which doesn't need a remake either.
Game devs - we need new games.

Almost half of Capcom's games are remakes/remasters: praised
10 percent of Sony's games are remakes/remasters: tar and feathered

Which is looking great by the way…

If they insert DMC 3/4 Dante's personality into DMC 1 Dante, I will be curious to see how fans will react to that.

I feel like only DMC 1 Dante had a very distinct mixture of seriousness and comedy with a very clear 'confident hero' attitude that made him a bit more grounded than the other iterations of him where he just felt like a wacky younger brother or wacky uncle.
