DJ Salvatore Ganacci enter the roster of Fatal Fury City: of Wolves

In addition to his role supervising the collaboration that is bringing 11 world-renowned DJs’ music to FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves, Salvatore Ganacci will not only be contributing original music, but also entering the ring himself as a playable character! Check out his South Town story as he brings a host of special moves into the fold!

The Story Behind the DJ
Salvatore is a justice-dealing Artist who has arrived in South Town looking for inspiration to help finish his latest (and hopefully greatest) anime music video. When his good friend Duck King tells him about the KOF tournament on the horizon, Salvatore decides it just might give him the spark he needs. Combining DJing and martial arts, Salvatore is nothing if not versatile—mixing music, muscles, and mayhem leaving even the most formidable opponents stunned and disoriented by his extraordinary abilities.

What the hell is going on at SNK? Clearly rings of Saudi influence. With Tekken 8's recent patch that destroyed what little goodwill it had left with its competitive community, and now Fatal Fury with another dumb guest character its seems like modern fighting games are out of touch with their own communities.

To think I was excited for this game last year. Everything about this looks so stupid, and the animations are janky. What the hell are they doing? Imagine getting this character over someone like Blue Mary. Hell give me Duck King over this loser.

The first guest character turned me off, but this seals the deal. I was really looking forward to this game as a day one purchase. Now it's a hard pass, even if they offer it free on PS Plus.

The guest characters are ruining this game.
I don't mind odd guest characters. My problem is the same as Maximillian's problems with Ronaldo and now this new guest character: These characters' animations are very, very muted and too 'mocapped' looking.

It stands out even moreso with DJ Salvatore, who's movements are way too grounded in reality next to things like this:

Since the game is still in development, I'm hoping they can tweak the animations a bit more to make them more expressive and over the top like the rest of the cast. Or else this will feel like 2 Mortal Kombat characters were put into the game.

Once again, I got nothing against Saudis (government is one thing), but the management or forcing these guys as guests is incredibly off putting.

Guest music is one thing, but multiple guest music, a guest DJ, a guest footballer, like who is this actually for? It never long term appeals to the stars'respective fans. It's a fleeting moment. That's literally it.

It doesn't help these are celebs your average FGC fan probably won't like. So it's such a misguided use of money and management.

if Saudi really wanted to do something, get a new sick Arab character in there like Rashid from SF. Get a dope story going set in the middle east. Or a trending WWE wrestler. But ideally just keept it gaming/manga at the early stage.

as it stands, this game is bargain bin, if that and mostly because of the weird choice of guests.

But then Namco also had dumb stuff like Negan, so maybe we are just stupid ourselves?

I was genuinely so hyped after the last beta, but this kinda deflated that hype a lot.

If they made like a brand new fighter and this was an alt skin instead, I'd be okay I guess, but this looks absolutely horrific in every aspect, animation/movement wise etc. I don't even know who this person is 🙃

Terry is mad fun though.

Saw him at tomorrowland pre covid, he is funny as fuck, he was standing next to me in the crowd while he was supposed to be playing at mainstage, then he ran to mainstage, i think they banned him from playing after that there

Dude's trying way too hard in doing an Aphex Twin impersonation in all of its weirdness and "quirkiness".

...having said that, he's not exactly terrible, I was expecting some truly horrible, end of the barell Euro trance/Eurodance shit (Darude, Eiffel 65 etc) but, both the techno track and the house one linked in this thread are actually listenable...

Bad collabs and guest characters + super aggro casino gameplay have turned me off fighting games for a while. Hopefully SF6 season 3 has some good changes.

I really want to buy SNK games, but somehow they keep messing up, bad online, bad matchmaking, epic store exclusivity, whatever this is.
