Do you use internet banking, if so why? What are the main advantages and disadvantages of using this service offered by banks? Convivence is crucial for my finances, it's faster and easier than going down to a cash point in my opinion. I also use internet banking mainly for convenience as most cashless transactions can be handled right at home instead of having to make time to visit the bank. The main disadvantage is you can't withdraw cash from home - you still have to visit an ATM or the bank.

My personal bank has no local branches but it is a large bank with branches in some states. But you have to have been in the military or a parent in the military to use it. Good bank. Their insurance rates have jumped a bunch so I am switching from them.

My business bank is local because I make cash deposits. It is a credit union.

I bought a sex doll, but I keep it inflated 100% of the time and use it like a regular wife
I only step into my bank when I need to withdraw a large sum of money to pay something.

For anything else, online banking. It's super convenient.
Plus the bank over here kinda smells and the granny working there is always mad because of something. Maybe it's the smell.

I can't remember the last time I've had to walk into my bank.

My bank has a video calling service on the app. If I need help or advice I can just use that. I have no reason to enter my branch.

Online only for me

I can't imagine someone not using online banking. I understand going to your bank for fairly specific reasons. But unless you live right next door to it, you're doing the rest on your phone/computer.

I only use them for withdrawing cash from the ATM for gifts. My branch doesn’t even have a dedicated teller, they just have one of their specialists man the front desk on rotation through the week.

99% online, 1% in person if depositing cash which is maybe once or twice a year.

Most of my money is in an investing account and ISA which is online and telephone only. This account is connected to my main bank account and I can transfer freely between them within a day.

My nearest branch is like 30 min away. So I have to. Only go there when I have to deposit a check or withdraw a large amount.

I almost never carry cash on me. Apple Pay takes care of 99.99% of all transactions.

I'm surprised that so many have ditched traditional banks COMPLETELY, lol

When people have a choice between standing in line to do something compared to just using an app, most people will take the path of least resistance.

Also credit unions for the win.

I haven't been in my bank for 10 or more years. In fact they're mostly operating online, having booths in popular shopping malls and only a handful of stationary branches.

How do you keep track of everything to make sure you don't over-spend?

Also online banking only and pay everything with a card. I just have a limited number of non-recurring expenses in my life, a decent amount of money for discretionary spending, and a ping in my brain whenever I've made big spends in a period.

I'm in and out of (multiple) banks a few times a week for business stuff. My personal banking is all done on-line.

So many old people take their bills to to the teller to pay. Wednesdays seems to be the worst for it for some reason.
