this is so cringe tbh. it's not like biggie vs tupac where you could really feel the hate and someone might get killed. this is two rich grown men writing poetry about each other. imagine kendrick or drake sitting at home writing this shit like "fuck this shit goes HARD imma end him with this line". i bet if they saw each other irl neither drake nor 5'4 kendrick would even throw a punch at the other. it's gossip magazine shit for guys

I've been following this, very interesting stuff, but these truths that have been known about Drake for a while. It's odd that he seems to have a shield of perception over him compared to other celebrities.

If you want a rap beef that leads into multiple murders and homicides, look up the recent Chicago stuff.

This is two grown men writing poetry about each other.
This is what rap beef originally was from the 80s. Gangster rap from the 90s turned it into something more deadly. Some people used to say rap stood for 'rhythm and poetry' back then. Some rappers even started out at Def Poetry Jam and would test their lyrics there as an attempt to get a contract deal or more recognition, or simply do it for the art of it.

Somewhere down the line, this stuff slowly eroded away from mainstream eyes and what we're left with is this:
gossip magazine shit for guys.
Because people online like controversies and drama more.

A Goomba Vs Albert Wesker.

It's pathetic on every possible level.

1 - That Wesker is engaging in a fight with a Goomba, at all.

And 2 - That a Goomba would attempt to fight Wesker to begin with...

Can a beef in Hip Hop happen where it feels like two heavy weights going up against each other again, please? And not just two billionaires (Or millionaires, don't know) wanting to make more money off of attention?

Really miss DMX, he was a breath of fresh air at the time.

15 posts in, that's a new record. I usually expect Eminem mentioned sooner.

I have nothing against Eminem but admittedly he is used too much as a go-to selection during moments like these. I worry that rap is essentially going to lose a large chunk of it's older casual audience once he retires.

Family Matters was a so much better.
Everything Kendrick said is exaggerated public info.

We ain't outta here in ten minutes, we won't need no rocket to fly through space
Kendrick just put an extra clip into a corpse, Jesus wept. The man's 10 steps ahead.

KD stays pressing.

WTF, he came out with a fucking reply so quick!!
“Have you ever thought that OVO is working for me?” / “Everyone inside your team is whispering that you deserve it” / “If you was street smart, you woulda caught your entourage is only to hussle you” / “100 guy that you got on salary, and 20 of them want you as the casualty” / “It’s time you look around and see who's really around you” - Kendrick

Kendrick is playing Chess.

They’ve both been pulling from online info/rumors with very little receipts, that’s why I find it better to just enjoy the music/moment than to take a hard stance on a side.

The best thing that’s happening here is that Drake is slowly giving us a new Kendrick album, and Kendrick is making Drake rap like it’s 10+ years ago. It’s a win/win for listeners.

I truly don't know how anyone gets anything out of this juvenile nonsense. I knew guys like this in the Army, and this is stunted maturation at its finest; grown men behaving like school boys who are mad that someone took the seesaw for too long. This is as trashy as women sitting around gossiping about Jersey Shore or whatever else is popular with big haired idiot bitches these days.

I'm late to this beef, but I just heard Kendrick's latest. Yeah...if people thought this was a play for both of them to get more exposure, why'd Lemar just murder Drake with the most real, unfun allegations possible lol
It’s a mixture of some people here believing everything is staged and some people here only being fans of 90s/2000s mainstream rap and not modern mainstream stuff, no matter the quality.

I’m not against the latter-type, but I would hope that they are still supporting the 90s/2000s legends who are still releasing good music to this day. Just because they aren’t mainstream anymore doesn’t mean they stopped existing.

Y'all should be ashamed for following any of this shit.
Look man, hip-hop is SO back. Getting in the studio, writing and putting that shit on wax is how it used to go down vs straight up radio interview you hurt my feelings shit.

Some of these lines are wild and I'm here for it

Beefs finally return, not another mumble rap and Kendrick has the abilities to beef with anyone, drake has handled every diss well he has to show he’s the biggest rapper in the game

I cringed at first, but damn, the tracks from both parties have me clutching my invisible pearls at some of these deep cuts.
