Dying Light: The Beast is a thrilling standalone zombie adventure set in the post-apocalyptic Castor Woods, a once-popular tourist destination. After 13 years of enduring experiments, you escape and hunt down your captors to seek retribution, only to discover there’s far more at stake. While the region is not as populated as it once was, there are still people and factions here, as well as plenty of horrors. Some will ask for your help, others will want to kill you. And that’s not to mention the mysterious creature that’s turned the woods into its personal hunting grounds.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?

That's pretty nice.

Sounds like an Uncharted: Lost Legacy situation. DLC expanded to a bigger game, but still honoring original folks.

This was one of the bigger announcements for me. The first game is competition up there with RE as the best zombie game ever made. Also, glad to have crane back.

The second was abysmal, and I couldn't get far into it. Hopefully this takes more after the first with the combat and nighttime difficulty.

EDIT: Damn, this is basically an expac to 2. That's disappointing. I imagine the combat will feel more like 2 then. At least we've got guns, I guess.
Is dying light 2 worth a try?
I hear it's much better today than at launch, but cant confirm it myself. I personally felt it was a downgrade. The combat is worse, and they removed guns (flimsy excuse that we're in an apocalyptic medieval time to focus on melee, but the melee sucks). The parkour is still great if that's all you care about. Some say it's better, actually.
