Review summary
  • Narrative is cohesive and surprisingly good this time around
  • Characters are interesting and you can bond with them
  • Bond dialogues are engaging enough so you want to talk to the characters more
  • There's hints of romance (if you max out a character's bond level, you might get a romantic scene with them)
  • Combat is much more strategical this time around, you can't just button mash and win unless you play on the easiest difficulty
  • You can choose which faction to join at the mid-point of the game which changes a lot of stuff
  • If you rush through the story, then it takes 20-25h just for one faction
  • If you do side content then it might take you double than that, if not more
  • There's post-game content
  • Also a new difficulty unlocks after finishing it for the first time
  • New difficulty isn't just HP and ATK increases for the enemies, says it changes up the game quite a bit with new moves, combos and stuff
  • Reforging weapons also becomes available after clearing it for the first time
  • Lu Bu
joins you after you finish it and is playable as a support character
