This audience now has another game to add to their wishlists with the announcement of Echo Point Nova from developer Greylock Studio who previously made the FPS Severed Steel which was released in 2021 across PC and consoles. Similar to its predecessor, Echo Point Nova features fast-paced combat, a dazzling soundtrack, and an emphasis on mobility. However, it distinguishes itself with the addition of co-op and large open-world environments that allow for greater mobility and make space for larger enemies like mechs. Echo Point Nova was announced to release this year on the Severed Steel Twitter account which also encouraged players to wishlist the game on Steam where they can also view a trailer.
Greylock Studio developer Matthew Larrabee shared more teasers from the game on Twitter while adding that he has "taken lessons learned" from the development of Severed Steel and applied them to Echo Point Nova. This could imply that Echo Point Nova could be coming with some of the features that were included in the latest major Severed Steel update which added gyro controls, a flurry of new weapons and enemy types, and the "Rogue Steel" game mode which gave players access to randomly generated levels.
