Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?

The first day of the Elden Ring Closed Nework Test has faced huge issues

The first Closed Network Test for Elden Ring Nightreign is facing issues, as thousands of players attempt to be among the first to try the new FromSoftware multiplayer spin-off.

The test, which is designed to allow the developer to stress-test the game’s multiplayer elements, as well as discover any potential bugs or balance issues, was set to take place this weekend.

However, from the beginning players have run into issues, which FromSoftware player support suggests is due to the huge number of players attempting to play the game at the same time.

On Friday, the Elden Ring X account acknowledged the issues, announcing that the servers for the playtest are undergoing maintenance.

From what I've seen, Xbox version ran great with very little problems. Hopefully that continues throughout the weekend

The wording on that article is totally bizarre. They are talking like the network test can't get going because too many people are trying to log in. No, this IS the test.

This is why you test. You were not there for fun, you were there to test the network. If you did not have fun, stop testing and go play a videogame. To take a job taste testing weird shit and then complain that everything didn't taste great is obtuse.

If Xbox worked great I'm 100% sure it is because Xbox is unpopular.

I spent a little time watching a streamer earlier, but they gave up after multiple disconnects and being stuck in the title menu.

They managed to clear the first night, and it did look quite fun.
