EVO is upon us. All roads lead to this, the biggest stage and fighting game tournament in the world. Keep an eye eye out for the official thread, because when it goes up, that will be our home for the most exciting tournament of the year.

Every week, FGW will spotlight one GAFer to get a better picture of their history with fighting games, their preferences, and much more. For this week's FGW Player Spotlight, we will be taking a closer look at GAF's underage ninjagirl sexual predator, Passive Assassin!
What fighting games do you currently play, what are your all time favourites and why?
The only game I'm playing seriously right now is Ultra Street Fighter 4 since it's the game with the most competition in Sacramento. I dabble in KOF13, GGXXAC+R, BBCP, ST, 3s, CvS2, and TTT2 whenever someone wants to play it on the cab. My all time favorites are CvS2 and 3s. The music, characters, and system mechanics are amazing.
What are your favorite mechanics from the current selection of fighting games and why? What are your least favorite and why?
My favorite mechanic is the parry mechanic from 3s. It looks cool and makes you feel like DAIGOD.
My least favorite mechanic is X factor since it feels like an overpowered get out of jail free card.
What got you into fighting games? Are there any other genre of games you play?My least favorite mechanic is X factor since it feels like an overpowered get out of jail free card.
I never took fighting games seriously when I was a little kid and didn't know about the local arcades in Sacramento such as the Folsom Gameroom and Birdcage. But I did know about the games my brother brought home for the PS2, namely CvS2, GGXXAC, and Tekken 4. I only played those games when my friends dropped by and it was the typically mash to win and throws were cheap mentality. I was more of a Halo 2 player back during middle school to high school and liked the glitchy slide of the game, such as the BxB, BxR and sword canceling to get off the map.
Then one day after playing Halo 3, my friend decided to pop in Street Fighter 4. I got the hang of the basic game plan with Ryu and went to town on most of my friends until someone picked Akuma and I got bodied. I decided to pick up the game afterwards on PC and got a shitty Hori EX2 to start out with. I learned how to use a stick within three weeks and played within my group of friends for a year or two before finding out about GAF and the local scene.
I guess the time when I started to get more invested into fighting games was when I started playing with other Gaffers from the old AE2012 community thread and #gafranbats. I upgraded from my Hori EX2 to a Madcatz TE Round 2 in order to play better and have more control over my inputs. I learned a lot about my playstyle and how to change it up from being an total online scrub (well ... still an online scrub but I'm slowly progressing). Then I started going to a local tournament called Tap Ex tourneys ran by a guy I remember from high school and got introduced to other tournies in the area, such as CFD and the Davis fighting game scene. My first tournament was NCR this year in Sacramento and I'll be going to Evo this year too.
I used to play SC:BW back in elementary to middle school and then WoW from high school to my sophomore year of community college. Raided from Burning Crusade to the first few bosses in Ice Crown Citadel as a hunter on Dragonblight and Tichondrius Horde. Thank god I ended WoW during the beginning of ICC since the game started to die down around then. I play CS 1.6, CS:GO and Arma 3 on the side.

Ibuki. She's a ninja with decent combos and she's a glass cannon, which fits my play style.
Describe your style of play, and how do you play (local, online, etc.).
I play full rushdown with little to no defense. Then when I get the opponent dizzy, I just practice Ibuki loops or SJC combos on them. It usually ends up with me dropping a link and everything going to hell afterwards.
I usually play locally at a local boba spot that has a gutted out astro city cab with a ps3 fitted in. It's nice since there's new hori buttons (thanks carlo!) and the drinks are cheap there. Before I found out about this spot, I used to play AE2012 on PC. There was little to no lag playing people from the East Coast or Canada. Wish the same could be said for Ultra for PS3 though ...

My biggest strength is execution and sometimes godlike reactions. I remember doing a reaction yoroitoshi against a local player who did ex dash straight and he thought it was an OS, and hashinshoing gouken's overhead from point blank range and many fireballs.
My biggest weakness is patience. I don't like sitting still in and waiting for the one knockdown. I'll try to play footsies but that usually doesn't work out. Another weakness is overextending myself by going for fancy combos like SJC ultra where I could just do a regular neckbreaker into knockdown for more setups. And dropped combos :l OMG itZ pAss.

Best moment was going 2-2 at NCR and pulling off Ibuki loops and SJC ultra on the people I played in losers.
Worst moment was when I played my first major tournament match on stream at NCR and got bodied free 2-0 against a Bay area Ken player. It was 10 am in the morning and I got the stream jitters. Other than that, the worst moments happen whenever I play online on PSN and lose to Mesmerman :l.
What do you want from future fighting games?Worst moment was when I played my first major tournament match on stream at NCR and got bodied free 2-0 against a Bay area Ken player. I want more ninjas and jazz hip hop in my fighting games.
