I’ve decided I wanted to watch another sci-if series and DS9 came to mind since I saw it on Netflix.

why you should watch this and why it’s the best.
First Star Trek to put in a serialised story line and actually have a story going on.

best characters - ds9 side characters are better written, developed and likeable

Yeah I'm around 4 or 5 episodes in. It's the only Trek series I really loved.

I think DS9 shines with character growth. More than next generation on that front.

With solid arcs for Quark, Jazdia, Worf, Nog, Dukat, they took the shittiest race(the Ferengi) and made some of the best characters out of them.

I like ideas from TNG better but damn DS9 has great writing.

Yeah I'm around 4 or 5 episodes in. It's the only Trek series I really loved.

I’m 5 in top. The pilot is great but the first two series are abit rough. Worth it for 3+.

forgot to mention Sisko being the best captain and funniest.

I saw entirety of Voyager, Next Gen and Enterprise.
I postponed DS9 for two decades.

Finally started watching it last month.
First season was very mediocre. Few really good episodes (Duet), few really bad (Move Along Home, jesus F. christ), most mediocre.

Second season is better so far, but still nothing to write home about.

I do like the characters quite a bit at this point though. Odo and Quark look so disgusting they always turned me off watching it, but now I see they are some of the best characters on the show.

I look forward to future episodes and seasons. I did hear it gets pretty spicey later on.

(I am sure Babylon 5 will remain unsurpassed however)

Season 4 on is the best Trek you'll ever see! I guarantee!

Nothing will ever match Babylon 5. Ds9 is solid though.

I’m recently getting into Star Trek. Starting with TNG and currently on season 3 and really enjoying it, although much of season 1 and 2 wasn’t amazing. Really like s3 so far tho.

You're right, the first couple of seasons were rough. But once you get to S3, it keeps getting better and better.
