Somehow I can't redeem any codes on mobile and on the website it says code redeemed but never received the rewards ingame. Beyond that having fun. Already got the 2 limited character banners although the sword girl sucks (melee seems to suck for this game)

I'm having a blast with Krolik and she's supposedly the worst character in the game and a melee character. Her 2nd special boomerangs her back to the position where she started the turn, so it's amazing for taking out that one straggling enemy on the opposite side from everyone else, regardless of cover situation. Melee itself is probably a disadvantage in harder combat, but in story/event clears, she's great. I tried Ullrid in the trial, and she's a bit of a "safer" melee character, but I'm sure you can make her work if you are interested.

Only thing I wish Krolik had was that her Ultimate would hit all enemies in the line, instead of just the first one. Maybe she'll get an upgrade in the future to allow it.

I just unlocked the mode after my post. So it looks like her pieces are 400 of the boss mode currency for 5, but there's only 3 to purchase per month(?) So you can get 15 pieces every month in the shop itself, it takes 30 to unlock the character, so two months? I was able to get 300 currency from beating the boss at the lowest level and auto-ing the last two attempts. There was no way I was going to beat the next tier at lv 26 or 27, whatever I currently am. I'm not sure if you get more currency if you beat higher levels, but I imagine you would. Even if not, if you can beat the lowest level boss 3x a week that's 1200 currency a month which is exactly enough to buy all of Sabrina's pieces.

So yea, 2 months to get a copy of her, if you skip all of the other shop rewards and don't miss a week on beating the boss.
I also just unlocked the Boss mode and also got 300 currency points. I also upgraded the boss to the next level and yes, the next level already gives more currency points.
In the 1st level the max currency you can get is 100 for scoring 9600 points in the boss battle, after upgrading the boss to level 2, even if scoring 0 points already gives you 105 currency points to a max of 150 currency in level 2. So the higher we upgrade the boss the more currency we get.

And yeah, it will take a minimum of 2 Months to get Sabrina from the boss fight shop.

Melee is bad in this game for mechanics reasons, I read a joke on Reddit where someone said "she's a 1 range unit in a 9 range world" and that's basically accurate. It's very difficult for Krolik to get into a position where she can attack enemies without also making herself very vulnerable to being surrounded and gangbanged to death

This is also why Ullrid is regarded as being not good

None of this matters considering how nerfed the difficulty is in Story but they are basically useless for challenging content like the weekly boss fights

Some codes are already expired or reached the max limit. Thers also different codes to the 2 different global servers. Check the codes in this site as they are listed by server and see if any of them works.

I think boss mode is actually a pretty good example of the opposite of this, actually. She's got great movement, so she can easily get out of the targeted AoE radius, she has the skill that lets her move, attack, and then either move again or return to the starting point. Maybe future bosses will be less advantageous to Krolik, but this first week one actually played to her strengths. I find it hardest to use her where there are a cluster of ranged enemies in a particular area for reasons that you stated. But for going out solo and taking out a few stragglers or for fighting one tough enemy, she seems really good.

A core upgrade or whatever they call it in CN version, or a new weapon parts set effect could help her out tremendously.

Thanks, some codes worked others didn't so must be a server thing like you said (I'm in Japan). Also weird, I'm playing the game on pc using same google account and got 2 different accounts somehow... all good though cause I got better character on mobile but thought it was odd and again must be do to different server thing as when I look myself up from one device to the other, the UID doesn't match.

If you are in Japan my guess is that you are using the Haoplay server on your mobile and maybe you downloaded the PC client with the Darkwinter server. Cuz thers 2 global websites with 2 different PC clients, one for the Haoplay server, and the other for Darkwinter. You can try install the Haoplay PC client and see if then you can use the same account you have on mobile.

This is the official website with the Haoplay PC client:

Oh hell yea, one of my favorites from GFL1 just made it into the CN version. Still looking for info on her kit.

Hope her swimsuit skin makes it into this game:

QJ is actually stupid though, most of her DPS is from support attacks after one of your other party members attack. It's basically a free attack every attack with the other party members, assuming you use your brain and position QJ within range of party member targets

Like a madman I actually bought the pass and took the 5* sword for Krolik. I'm making my way through hard mode currently and she's still a beast. She's particularly good in "make it to the point and examine it" nodes with her teleport that ignores walls and elevation. There hasn't been one of those yet that I haven't been able to clear in 2 rounds.

I really would like to see melee get a buff of some sort though. You can tell that Mica is still thinking about what to do with it considering they haven't released any melee characters after Ullrid even in CN. Some defensive utility would go a long way to make it more usable. Krolik even has a shield that she regularly uses in cutscenes, but has zero defensive traits in gameplay.

Specially good for boss battles, her and Suomi keep shooting the enemies during other characters turns. The AI in automode dosent play very well with her though.

Looks like WA (named Makiatto now I guess) is the next banner. I'd imagine they'll probably continue to do double banners, but I guess we'll see.

Already unistalled the game lol. Finished the available main story and event story. Main story is decent with some cool cutscenes, and the combat is nice, i was lucky to get most of the top tier characters right from the start so i was able to clear all content with ease. But i dont want to keep doing dailies on a game with 0.6% drop rates, and fanservice locked behind paywalls. As im already playing 2 other fanservice games that dont paywall the fanservice and has much higher drop rates (Nikke with 4% and Brown Dust 2 with 3%). And im still playing ZZZ so one stingy as fuck game is enough even if GF2 event give much better rewards.

I never played GFL1 and the amount and density of the story, the world, and the lore is absolutely insane

But considering GFL2 is a direct sequel to GFL1 and it literally explains nothing about what happened before, I'm trying to push through this video series in the hope that I can at least get a faint idea of what the fuck is going on in this world

It also helps to play Reverse Collapse, which is a remake of Mica's first game and sets a lot of the world lore.

GFL1's story was fascinating when I played it, but it got a bit too political (not woke type politics, just in-game power struggle stuff), wordy, and depressing, so I kinda cut out a while before I quit playing GFL1.

Thanks for posting the vid, I'll definitely give it a watch to reacquaint myself with the story.

We are just hours away from everyone's favorite tsundere sniper rifle, the Walther WA 2000

Fun fact about the WA 2000: the gun was very expensive when released and Walther didn't get any interest from military or police forces. As a result, only 176 were ever made, making it one of the rarest production firearms in the world and one of the most prized weapons for gun collectors

That is a fun fact. I will try to get WA, but I dunno if I'll go for her signature. After hitting level 40 and seeing how nice a shield boost would be for Suomi, I rolled her signature weapon before it ended. Now I wanna make sure I have enough resources to get some of the upcoming characters.

I'm a little pissed at myself for putting off the Challenges stages from the first event. I think I only missed out on some cubes and some avatar frames, but still. I got busy the last few days for the Holidays and didn't get to even attempt them before the event ended.

Ah well, got Lotta and her gun maxed out and emptied the shops, so it could be worse. I didn't know we were getting a free Papasha when I logged in to do dailies, so that was a surprise.

She had quite a glow-up since GFL1.

I will admit, I miss the old hat. this one is pretty generic and makes her kinda blend in with the other blonde dolls.

I wonder how they're picking which dolls to bring over in which order from 1? I have a small handful of favorites that I hope we get sooner than later.

Looks like Mica is making another new gacha, this time an action 3rd person shooter, in the same vein as Snowbreak/The Division. Kinda diluting their fanbase a bit too much if I'm being honest, with this game just releasing globally.

It looks pretty rough still, but it's a pre-beta technical test, so I assume it will get some love in the coming months.

Man I wasn't originally expecting much from Makiotto, but her turtle gameplay style really clicks with me. Shame that a lot of the stages are objective based with turn limits so you can't just sit around and let enemies kill themselves on her.

Anyways, new event coming soon (just easy daily stuff for generic rewards, nothing big).

*edit*

Also saw this earlier, they will be adding a fully 3D explorable base with minigames and stuff. Looks good.

Type 97 (Daiyan) is up next. I was hoping she'd be coming up soon.

Side note, anybody else here still playing the game? I'll stop giving updates if it's just me.

I need XP to reach level 27 but I'm kinda stumped at how I'm supposed to do that.

I can't progress the main campaign because I need level 27 to start the next mission. I can't continue the Beginner Evaluation. I checked a lot of the menus but most of the things available to me don't reward XP.

Am I missing something? I don't know how to progress.

Are you completing the daily events? iirc they reward 300 exp each day. I was way overleveled for every campaign quest.

I play this game but I don't think you can expect any discussion of niche gacha games on GAF, no one on GAF has phones

If you're looking for discussion about GFL2, there's a subreddit that's very active and an official Discord

I feel like an idiot because I've checked all of the 100 menus in this game but what the hell are the dailies called in this and where can I find them?

I'm level 26 and played quite a bit but I still don't understand half of what's going on.

(I'm a total gacha noob, never played any of these games for this long before)

What you should be doing everyday from the main menu

Commissions = Daily events that reward collapse pieces and around 300 exp
Platoon = Join one and do the daily missions, collect the resupply rewards for potential collapse pieces and do the Gunsmoke Frontline event when it opens
Voyage = Seasonal pass, make sure to do the daily and weekly actions
Campaign > Supply missions = Use up your energy to gain build materials and to complete the Season pass and Daily commissions.
Campaign > Combat Simulations = Do the daily 3 combat exercises, while choosing the weakest opponents
Events = Look through and do whatever you want

All this seems like a lot but it isn't with autobattle enabled.

Just hit my 260th standard banner pull and picked Tololo, and now I have every character in the game, not spending any money on pulls. Just some outfits.

Also finished up all hard mode stages and hit level 60 last week. I feel like they overtuned account XP because I couldn't even keep a single team topped off with xp and gun xp before leveling up to the next level. I hit account level 60 where my best team was like 55/55/52/50. Dunno what the rush to get to 60 was, I prefer a more slow and steady grind like that. Or at least if you're going to rush the leveling experience, give enough bonus xp to keep at least a single team current. Ah well, small potatoes problem because once you hit 60 there's no more leveling, just annoyed me a bit during the process.

The game slowed down a bit from its breakneck pace at launch, but it's fine. The whole thing takes like 10 mins a day. I'm actually really excited to see where the story goes, chapter 8 and the event were really compelling. I wish every event had 2 parts though like the Suomi/Ullrid event.

Dataminers found the likely schedule for the next few global banners, since everything is fucked up from the CN order.

2/27 (Centa, Ullrid)

3/20 (Klukai Machiatto)

4/10 (mechty Daiyan)

I do not play gachas - I guess I was way past the target demo when they became popular - in fact I hate the entire format. However, playing thru Reverse Collapse made me fall in love with the lore so I went ahead and downloaded GFL2. Absolutely incredible game - xcom/valkyria chronicles style, my favorite flavor of TRPG.

Sadly gachas are the new "AAA" eastern game experience for the most part. The monetization model is predatory, but these games are full of high quality and care. Kinda sad that it's the state of things for now, but at the very least you can play these games completely for free if you've got the willpower to resist FOMO.

Sadly you just missed an event that happens between chapter 8 and 9, but no official word on when 9 is coming. I agree, the story is really interesting so far.

The Daiyan event was rewritten and is Chapter 8.5

The upcoming Centaureissi event was also rewritten and is Chapter 8.75

We are caught up with China in story, we'll know when we're getting Chapter 9 when China does

I got lucky in this game, I have all the dolls and a few of them with their sig weapon. Now I see the game leans hard into dolls being much better once you get a 3 or 4 copies which is a shame... At least I can somewhat do all the content in the game (F2P here) but severly limited in materials.

Honestly the PVE content is pretty easy, so you can do fine with just a single copy. Unless you wanna get sweaty in PVP or score ladder modes, you will be fine.

Yeah it's all good it's just was wondering how some managed to do 50% more dmg than me and I guess it's the additional copies of dolls that do the trick. For example I got Makiatto twice and it's a huge boost.

Yea no doubt additional copies can be transformative, but you can make up some of that difference by min/maxing the gun attachments too. The only character I rolled dupes on so far is Suomi so I could push that boss mode further. She's insanely OP.

Man, I wish I had time to continue playing this game, but WuWa with ZZZ and now SF6 which turns out to be the best SF since IV (fuck Word Tour tough)...

It's sad really, I liked and even loved what I've played of GF2, but I just don't have time for it now :messenger_loudly_crying:
