Didn't even know there was a sequel.

The first was among my first PS2 games, haven't played it in the last two decades but I have very, very vivid memories of it. There's some really brilliant ideas that is wild to me no other "cinematic" game adopted since.

Didn't watch the video, but it was not ahead of its time. GTA3 had already released and was well ahead of it. The gameplay in The Getaway was completely broken from the shooting to the driving.
