We ain't outta here in ten minutes, we won't need no rocket to fly through space
Jesus, do you think Rockstar deployed their regular devs on this one to clean up GSG's mess?

Maybe I'll actually want to play it in 2-3 patches time

This shouldn’t be there in the first place to be fixed. They should be embarrassed for something like this in a remaster of a 17 years old game sold at 60$. No word can describe this accurately other than lazy. It is truly lazy and if Rockstar actually cared about quality, they would have taken this project from Lazy Street developer and done it in house.

they would be stupid as heck to think GSG could fix this mess when they are the cause of it. though im not sure who is actually fixing it.

It always amazes me how they release broken shit but have patches available within weeks. What the fuck is your logic there?

If these assholes would've delayed their garbage games by a month we wouldn't be in this mess.
It tells you what they think of their customer base.

Cyberpunk all over again. Where's the roadmap?
Guess i'll play it in 2 or 3 years ''when it's fixed''... or not.

Embarrassing.

I mean the cheap mobile menu gives it away immediately. Also the name of the developer in the menu like they are proud of what they have done.
Not sure if we can blame the developer like this. Ultimately this is a publisher issue as well...maybe the developers didn't have a lot of time to work on this due to a publisher very eager to release this during this fall.
We've seen this happen a lot.

I want to buy this for vice city but no way buying it with these visuals or the state the game is in. Such a shame

I'm reading those patch notes and i'm thinking to myself "what the hell happened to them ever since RDR2 was released?"
RDR2 is an anomaly. It is a game that shouldve never been made the way it was made. Jason said ALL 7 Rockstar studios with over 3,000 employees made the game. We all thought that they had different teams making GTA6 on the side, but nope, as it turns out, they were all working on this one game. Yes, they game was incredible, but at what cost? Well, now we are finding out what one Rockstar studio is capable of. And it isnt much.

Their studios are unable to make games on their own. They require help from thousands of developers from other studios who are unable to create their own games. It is simply not sustainable.

What about switch patches?
Game is great now on switch since last patch but i want cinematic and overhead cameras. .lol

No switch version updates. PC i still have the OG versions i bought on steam for a 5er.

No matter what...a game like RDR2 will always be an anomaly in the industry. Trust me it'll be years until we see something like that ever again.
Those guys are crazy. The mechanics we can find in there, the level of detail. The fact the NPCs have literal stories, how you can meet them later randomly and they will help you or give you stuff cause you saved them god knows how long ago. The fauna and flora you can find in there. The amount of side quests. How everyone in your camp has animations for their daily lives and how that changes according to the chapters and whatever is happening in the main stories...all of that is animated and with different voice acting.

It's not weird how long that game took and the amount of people it took to be made. No matter how well managed a project like that is...it's just crazy work and management. I wouldn't want to be coordinating a project like that for like 7 or 8 years for sure, lmao.

I actually think one of the downsides of these huge projects is some stuff is outdated by the time a game releases since it was so long things were planned. For RDR2 was the linear mission structure, for TLOU2 was the dated level design (IMO of course).

5-10 more patches and I'm in!

Yeah, scrolling through the list it looks like a lot... but taking a closer look it is literally an itemized list of fixes for very specific things (like fixing typos).

If we look at the fixes that way then, they have thousands of line items on an itemized list they are going to have to fix.

Pretty much where I'm at. A third the list feels like they're individual line entries for fixes around rain. It's really padded out.

This list shouldn't have been there in the first place. Some bugs are OK, since no game is or ever will be glitch-free, but this is astounding. They shoved a broken product knowingly out of the gate.

[The Nintendo Switch version is coming in early 2022.]
It's good to see Rockstar pushing back the physical release dates, but I can't stop laughing at this. 😄
They really sh*t the bed on the Switch version. I wonder if it's even worth it at this point, but we'll see how Rockstar responds.
