Maybe. I don't know Nick's life situation 100%, only what I've seen and heard others say. Multiple people have commented on him doing an good job of juggling fatherhood between all kids and being very supportive, to the point where only one ex (Mariah Carey) has any ongoing issues with him, which is impressive in itself.

I don't think that she's talking about a burst appendix, broken leg or gunshot wound.

I also think that she would prefer it if the father of her child were prepared to be involved in the kid's care, without needing to be publicly hectored into doing so.

The alternative is that she gains in some way from damaging the relationship with the man she's inextricably linked to, and by opening herself up to criticism from people who take the stance that if the kid isn't dying, why doesn't she just sort it out on her own and let the kid's father go back to ignoring his kids and waving a silver chainsaw around.

Well, it's possible for people to not be at risk of immediate death, but also need medical intervention and for someone's life or health or life to be negatively impacted by not receiving treatment.

She may well be flipping out, because presumably she can see her child in some sort of need and is unable to be allowed to meet that need because her former partner refuses to sign off on looking after their child.

If it were my child, I'd drop everything to make sure they were ok, wouldn't you? If you'd done that and we're being accused of not having done so, wouldn't you want to clear your name?

Given Musk's legendarily thin skin, you might expect him to reply to say that the child was being looked after and explain that he was actually a brilliant dad. That he hasn't, might lead to some conclusions that aren't that the mother of the child is just flipping out over nothing.
