There was a lot of third party big names revealed on the Switch 2 Nintendo Direct, even games like Cyberpunk 2077 but there was one developer who did not appear, Rockstar Games.

After Red Dead Redemption received a Switch port last year many expected the games to keep coming.

This would've been the perfect time to throw out another Grand Theft Auto V port, there has not been a mainline GTA game on a Nintendo at any point. Rockstar Games recently pushed out another version of GTAV on PC earlier this year so they've still got a team on it.

Or how about Red Dead Redemption 2? It would make sense to follow RDR1 on Switch with RDR2 on Switch 2!

It's not a publisher issue since 2K games were announced for Switch 2 and they fall under Take-Two. Do Rockstar Games just dislike Nintendo?

This was the biggest surprise to me. Microsoft was totally AWOL, even though we already know they're supporting the platform, because they tweeted about it. Weird that they weren't here with a single game and a "more to come later" tease like the rest of the third party partners. Maybe they want to make these announcements on their own terms, or they're going to pop up in the June Direct.

Rockstar having nothing is less shocking, I guess, since they could easily not be supporting the system, or any announcement from them (even just RDR2) would be big enough to be a major feature in a later Direct.

there's going to be another direct, There's no way Nintendo doesn't have a holiday title, and I'm sure GTA6 has some publishing rights with the other platforms.
