As someone with near 20 hours in it, it's not.

You can tell its originally a mobile game as its filled with timers and time gates and daily log in rewards, since iv been on their has already been 2 events with time limited items you can miss that you have to do dailys for to get the currency.

It feels like their should be some ingame shop which you need to buy stuff with real world cash to skip the timers, but it's just not there. That's what so weird, it feels like a free 2 play game, is designed and balanced like a free 2 play game, but it just a one off purchase.

It is not better than Animal Crossing, it has some unique mechanics like the climbing, and is generally faster but the timers on everything means you can only play as much as the game lets you per day, its designed to be habbit creating rather than a fun game you drop in and play when you feel like it.

Overall I think I'm close to done with it now, as I feel like I'm in a skinner box, not a game anymore.
