IO are doing a great job pushing Hitman recently. This was one of the things I was worried about and I am glad to see they kept disguises.

As I said in the other thread, .gifing him walking towards the camera at 1:46 should be a priority.

Looks like there's a good variety, I like it. The engine looks really sharp in places.

I just finished Blood Money and this game looks fantastic. I'm so happy they put in the ability to act like you are doing something like sweeping the floor etc rather than just standing around looking awkward. Still a month away though :(

It's one of the additions I've liked since the start. It makes keeping disguises a bit of a challenge, without the rage-inducing cheapness of the early Hitman games when it comes to keeping your cover.

We've known for a while they would keep disguises in.

I'm more worried about the recent previews saying there are times when the game becomes very linear and more shooting oriented. Worried enough that I probably won't be getting this on day 1 anymore even though I can get it in the low $30 range.

But the action – outbreaks of violence that turn the game from stealth puzzle to cover-based shooter – is intrusive and occurs far more frequently than I’d like. If shootouts are the result of a botched infiltration, a disguise blown or a body discovered, I enjoy their drama and occasional elegance a great deal, but too often they seem the only option, or at the very least, the favourable option.

I only ever played Hitman 2, and I found it very very difficult.

It seemed to have a right and wrong way to do things as oppose to say MGS

Is this still the case? I was very young at the time of playing H2 though, I played it on release and I am 21 now so I must have been like 13/14

I remember when this was first showed, a lot of people were expecting another Splinter Cell: Conviction. This is definitely starting to look very good though.

Edit: even a benchmark test. a pc gamers heart can't ask for much more.

Blood money is far more lenient in how it lets you approach things that Hitman 2, if you so much as look at someone the wrong way in number 2 you'd trigger an alarm. In all seriousness though, having completed all games in the franchise on the highest difficulty, Blood Money is by far the most forgiving and open in terms of possible solutions to "problems".

I hope this is doesn't turn out to be the case. In all the recent trailers they've emphasized going in as a silent assassin with multiple ways of doing so. That's what I want from Hitman. Get this bullshit TPS stuff out of here.
Edit: Those above screens have me so hyped! I love the variety in Hitman missions.

Awesome trailer, i've said that the game is finally back on track before, but this solidifies that. The scarecrow part pretty much cast out all doubt.

Turn that off and use SMAA + downsampling aka the new hotness.

The game uses DX11 and no signs to make it work at DX9 to use the SMAA injector

Where are those screenshots coming from Snake?

from the latest preview of a german site called "computer base". They spoiled A LOT more and took the screens down (replaced the new pics with old ones), when i saw them i was extremely surprised and said to myself no way in hell are they allowed to show this screenshots to the public. 1 Day later the screens were gone.

another spoiler-ish pic if you want: http://pics.computerbase.de/4/4/7/3/9/34_m.jpg

Edit: There was one pic they've showed i wish i did not see. It was such a WTF moment.

ok found it.
WARNING MAJOR SPOILER ALERT!

Well that RPS guy said he played several levels and it happened a few times so it seems like they're definitely dumbing it down a bit. And I'm not even talking about Instinct mode either.

I'm thinking the scripted moments are bookends or maybe IO think they provide a grand finale to each mission. As long as there are a small part of the game then I'll still buy it, Im not happy about it but as long as the main meat of the game is traditional Hitman.

I've never played a Hitman game. But after playing Dishonored, and seeing this trailer, it makes me want this game badly.

Is Blood Money any good?
