I don't work for a retail store, so I don't think I can sign up for that. I am, however, getting Xbox Live in a little bit. Is there a way I could get a free Xbox game from MS?

I was surprised when Microsoft called our store to ask if one of the guys who signed up for the retail training actually still worked at the store. What happens if they do find out you're not a retail person? Do they just never send you anything again? I've been curious about that.

Call up customer service, complain that your X-Box is getting dirty disc errors.

That worked for my friend (though he was really having dirty disc errors, I take no responsibility for how you use it).

I don't know if this offer still is in use, but if a friend who allready has Live is referred by you when you sign into Live for the first time, he'll get a free game and NOT you. I think you have to refer him on some form on the Live site.

How about instead of writing a letter, write up a RESUME so you can afford the fucking games.

If you know someone who has Live and you sign up before July 29 (?) you can score a free game (choose from Links, Top Spin or Rallysport2). I still have the e-mail so PM me if you want me to send it to you.

Find somebody who will order MS games for you because they can order them from the MS store, and then don't pay him. Worked for me.
